I was looking at Theme Park Connections auctions and I noticed for the first time they started listing pieces of the Snow White Ride. Nothing big yet, just entrance and exit signs...but I bet more sought after items will be coming shortly..

Ooh! As it so happens, the Theme Park Connections store is not even two miles from my house. I may just need to wander over there today at lunchtime! Thanks for the heads-up!!

half of them dont belong in Norway's Akershus either
Which 'half' are you referring to that don't belong in a Castle?
And although I would agree that Princesses don't belong on Main Street...considering that there is a castle (inexplicably) overlooking Main Street, it isn't really strange to think that Princesses would come 'into town' to visit.
However, I see no reason why Princesses shouldn't show up in Norway's castle, in fact it is a perfect place for them...and thank goodness for it for those locked out of Cinderella's castle, this castle is rarely booked up.

Most all of them, they have nothing to do with Norway.

It was a way for Disney to make money when the Norwegian government stopped the funding of the pavilion back in 2002.

Norway is a kingdom, so it sooorts of fits with princesses. But I think its too much... Its not a big Norway focus in the restaurant anymore.

As much as I'm sad that SWSA is gone, it is justified. It would be kinda weird having two Snow White themed attractions right next to each other. I just wish they were putting something worthwhile in there and not a meet and greet. They should have put a new dark ride there with a theme of a different Disney Classic.
This is exactly how I feel. I think a Sleeping Beauty attraction would be really nice. :)

We should pitch this Sleeping Beauty ride idea to WDI right away. It's pretty obvious that anyone on here can tell you that Sleeping Beauty is the most under used princess film in WDW. This would be a great new family dark ride that can/could've easily generated more visitation and wait times that would exceed it's current building predecessor. I could just picture riding through that awesome fight scene between Phillip and a kick @$$ AA Maleficent at the end.:)

I mean they could even make a wonderful coaster, and in the climax be thrown in front of a giant AA of Maleficent dragon style with the thorns surrounding her, the ride could be similar to journey to the center of the earth like at Disney Tokyo sea.

WDW's Fantasyland may be on the decline of dark rides, but in this instance your idea sounds and is waaaaaaay better than mine.:)

I have the utmost confidence that very little of that ride made it to Theme Park Connection.

I have checked in with them fairly regularly, and gave the owner my business card with a request to contact me if he acquired any artifacts from the ride. So far nothing. Not surprising, really. All the things I would have possibly wanted from it for Ben are probably either being re-used inside the new mine cart ride, or else wound up in a rubbish bin. In particular I would have loved to have the shield/crest that was above the first doors just past the Wishing Well.

A lot of the pieces and some character figures of the ride were scheduled to ship out to Disneyland. For queue plussing and more etc. Whether or not they went through with that plan not sure. Imagineers will surely include something from the ride in the mine train as a homage though. I vote for Dopey and his wiggle ears from the ending. :( I want him back!

I met with the Imagineer in charge of that section. They closed it because, well, SWSA just wasn't as popular. M&G requirement came from above, so they couldn't do anything about it except find a space and make it look pretty.
Wasn't as popular..... tell the consistent long line that!

M&G just goes to show what "above" actually know outside of spreadsheets. They had opportunity to plan FLE properly from the outset instead of the mess it became.

It may not have been as popular as Pooh or Pan (and demand would've dropped once Mermaid opened), however, it was never a walk on. Normally around 15-20 mins at least, getting to well over 60 during peak times.
