The new Hobbit movie

Now it looks like they are going to make 2 live action movies based on J.R.R.Tolkien's " The Hobbit " or " There and back again " >

It looks like they will be coming out around 2010 and 2011. New Line Cinema had joined with Mgm to produce the Hobbit. Guillermo del Toro is the director. Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh will be executive producers of the film.

Wasn't there a rumour that they were going to do "The Adventures of Merry & Pippin" showing what happened to them after the 3rd film ended? I would love to see that! I just adore Dominic Monaghan & Billy Boyd!:kiss:

I'm so glad that the Hobbit will be going into production soon. Peter Jackson did an amazing job on LotR and the Hobbit just wouldn't do without him!:sohappy:

I agree with some of the threads on that website that they should try and keep the initial characters (i.e. Bilbo & Gandalf) as the same actors, but I guess if the actors don't want to, you can't force them!
