Trip Report The Never-Ending Summer Of Disney *COMPLETED*

Seriously?!!

Can you believe it??

This is jaw-dropping news!!

If only.

Two things in life give me the blues ~ the end of summer and the end of a Disney vacation. A never-ending summer of Disney would be a dream come true! But I am certainly happy to “settle” for a WDW vacay in June....in July....and in August. 😊And rather than write three separate trip reports (and annoy @amjt660 when my *COMPLETED* report really isn’t 😉) I decided to take @Rista1313 ’s suggestion and post an ongoing travelogue, à la @blgauger style.

So let’s get started!

Vacation #1
June 16-24, 2018
Tuvalu, Woody and Em get pampered at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Was there rain? Any snarky Cast Members? Ridiculous guest behavior? A Magic meet-up? How many times did we watch Happily Ever After?

You’ll have to follow along to find out.

Jammies are adorable!!
As it is now September even more melancholy feelings that summer is indeed coming to a close.
Ah well-still more to this TR to look forward to!

And we may be done with Disney for a bit, but sneaking off in a couple weeks to take my middle girl to get scared to death at Halloween Horror nights at Universal...It's for her 16th birthday (a bit early as due to band schedule we can't go in October on her actual Bday -also hubs and I get back from a cruise on her birthday-oops).

The rain was still coming down when we reached the TTC. Even with umbrellas, it was a wet walk over to the resort monorail line.

On our way up the ramp we passed something that made us go . On part of the narrow concrete wall lay a young woman, wearing short shorts and a tube top, taking a nap!!!

So. Many. Questions.

The monorail arrived before I could snap a pic.

Woody and I had been in such a hurry to get to MK earlier that neither of us noticed that THE TAMBU LOUNGE WAS CLOSED!!

But do not fear, my friends. You can still get your Lapu-Lapus, Island Sunsets, Pina Colavas and Backscratchers at the temporary bars on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House. But you’ll have to settle for your drink in a plastic cup. :bored:

And I have enjoyed seeing all your Magic meets! Are you going to do a TR?
Thanks! It was so much fun to meet so many Magic friends! Yes I am going to write a TR. I’ve been anxious to begin but I keep running into roadblocks! It took forever to upload my pictures. I also had to wait for pictures from my kids and sister. Then moving my classroom, the start of school and moving Allie into college further delayed my trip report writing fun! I think I should finally be able to start this weekend 😊!

Truthfully I am glad you posted the pic. I don’t always go into Village Gifts and I would have missed the opportunity to adorn Tuvalette in Belle cuteness. :inlove: There was only one pair in her size and I snatched it!
I have to give credit where it's due. The only reason I went in is b/c my sisters talked me into it(knowing I was having a hard time finding something for my niece). I had a negative attitude about it & kept telling them that they won't have anything different than anywhere else. I was pleasantly surprised!!

I had to laugh at the female wearing short shorts and a tube top. My mom wore tube tops in the summer when I was a kid and she had a couple of wardrobe malfunctions. Because of that, I've never worn a tube top in my life!!! I've embarrassed myself plenty of times while being completely (and safely) covered LOL - a tube top is just asking for trouble :)

And we wanted to be first in creating another sensation.

Sorry.. @wishes2013 and I beat you to it back in July. 😉 But welcome to the club!

To me that’s a plus because then it can be enjoyed on the beach between the Poly and GF. 😉 I’ve asked for it that way a few times!

The reason we were so hurried is that time was closing in to the end of our first FP. It happens to be Woody’s favorite Epcot attraction.

The Farm Ride! :hilarious:

It wouldn’t have been a crisis had we missed our window (as much as Woody enjoys the ride, nothing in the parks is “mandatory” for him) but it did save us a thirty minute wait in the standby line.

When I scanned my MagicBand at the Mickey touchpoint, I was shocked to discover it was not my anniversary anymore. Maybe the system finally realized I am not a polygamist?

I am happy to report there was no hair grooming during our voyage.

The sunflowers reminded me of Em and I was sad she wasn’t with us.

What I wouldn’t give to have these hearty red bell pepper plants in our yard....and the tomatoes. Thanks to our rainy summer, our tomato crop was not as prolific as in previous years. But the ones we harvested were mighty tasty!

My hubby and daughter are our keen gardeners and we have never been on LWTL (I know!!!) so I've been showing them your photos and we have a fast pass in November and really looking forward to it.
Our pepper crop was rubbish this year but in Scotland because we had a lovely hot summer (very unusual) we have a bumper crop of tomatoes 🍅😀

I love gardening (and often miss my garden I created back at my old house)! Living with the Land is my favorite ride at Epcot. In fact, a couple years ago, I decided that we should do the Behind the Seeds tour of the ride. It was fantastic!!! I didn't really learn that much new info but the experience was wonderful and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed going behind the scenes. It's not a very expensive tour either and only lasts about an hour. I would definitely recommend the tour to people that enjoy the ride and gardening.

I have been pondering the tour but might wait until we are over as I believe there are often slots available at a few days ahead. As we travel from afar we pack so much in that spare time can be short:confused:

I'm so glad you have one more trip this summer and are enjoying it before the Disney Blues set in! LWTL is one of my favorites, it's so interesting and a nice break. It's fun to find all the hidden Mickey's! Yes, Seasons seems to be more of a "convenience" stop than anything else. If we're in Epcot early, it's a good stop for breakfast, if we don't eat at the resort.

The PJ's are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute! The nice part about being in Disney for more than a couple of days is you can think about the merch before you impulse buy...of course, @Tuvalu should always buy for Tuvalette and Tuvaleen!

We are going to be in WDW the week of/after Thanksgiving, too...perhaps we can do a WDW meetup?!
