This show is still not scheduled past May 27th.

Any word if they are going on hiatus for a while or is this just a case of the schedules not being updated yet?

Finally saw the Paul Revere show a couple weeks ago (saw the other one a couple times back in November). The Declaration show is definitely better, but I enjoyed the Paul Revere, one, as well. It would be cool to see more, though, even if they just cycle the current ones out and add/replace others over time.

Sorry for the bump but I saw online that the last day on the schedule on the website is may 27th no more dates past then have been posted on the website

They tend to end a month ahead of time. As it gets closer, dates/times are extended for another month. My guess is it has to be that way because of scheduling Muppet performers.

I would be interested in knowing what show to expect at a particular performance time. Are the two sketches consistently at the same time each day?

Well, their times seem to be not too far apart...Again with so many shows during the day..They could add 2 or 3 more skits than just those 2 verisons...
  • 9:30 AM
  • 10:20 AM
  • 10:55 AM
  • 11:30 AM
  • 12:00 PM
  • 1:25 PM
  • 2:00 PM

J.J. has proven to be a difficult role to cast, so if any new versions of the show were to pop up, it is HIGHLY unlikely that he would appear in them.

Sorry, I must not have been clear. I can find the show times but Disney does not say which sketch will be at which show time. I know there are people here who pay attention to things like that, so I was hoping for something like, "The first show of the day is usually the Declaration of Independence, and then it alternates with Paul Revere the rest of the day." Or whatever usually happens.

I think it's usually random as to which show is which; but, they should have which show is which for the day on the app at least.

Yeah, I agree. The Paul Revere one is, compared to the Declaration of Independence, a bit weak. Especially since the poem they're basing it on "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" is just plain bad and wrong historically. Any teacher caught teaching that today should be immediately fired. They hardly get through the poem (purposely because of the chaos), but then wrap it up with no real ending or lesson.

The poem is an important piece of American History, and everyone should learn it and know why it is important. Your personal opinions on Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poetry are entirely irrelevant.

And as a high school speech judge and coach, I found it quite refreshing when a student recently chose this piece to recite in the "Poetry" category of speech tournaments, as opposed to the usual depressing feelings-based fare most students have been choosing.

Not Great Moments in History related, but Muppets related. I saw this picture on DisneyWorld.com and I have no recollection of ever seeing this mural. Is this new?

While waiting for the show to begin on Thursday, I asked JJ about the order of the sketches. The morning performances are usually a constant: two Declarations in a row then Paul Revere ~ but the afternoon pattern varies, sometimes every-other, sometimes two Reveres and then Declaration, sometimes only Revere. He did a little eye roll and said the performers themselves don't know until that day.

Hey, thanks for asking! We arrived tonight and will be at MK in a few days. I'll just show up and see which one I see.

I heard a rumor that this show might be ending sometime soon, likely by the end of this year. Does anyone know if this is legitimate? The show schedule doesn't stretch beyond the first week of October, but the show never posts schedules more than a few weeks in advance anyway. Anyone have any information on this?

I hope they keep this going. If they don't Liberty Square becomes a "Dead zone" for nothing to do in an entire land..Yes, Haunted Mansion is counted in it but it's off the beaten path...
