No permanent B mode here.

Well, looks like you were right about the mister already being there. See look at that… I said “you were right” and I didn’t die. You should try it some time. Haha.

As far as the below comment that you made prior to your recollection of the mister already existing, I thought you were insinuating that the mister was created specifically just to be a temporary B mode while they were working on fixing the waterfall.

Rumors I've heard on various parts of the internet is that they've been having issues with the water in the mountain for awhile now. Its why the water on the outside waterfall has been off and on for awhile. And that a permanent fix would require a longer closure.

My guess is this is just temporary, but we'll see.

Lastly I thought we could trust Tom Coremore from the site that shall not be named. Guess not. Those pics I shared was from his site where they ran with the “mister replacement” headline. Gettin sloppy Tom

I have no issue saying you were right regarding facts when it does happen, I have many times before which you have a short term memory on and forget. The issue is when you insist that I or others have to say you were right about opinions we disagree with. I don't know anyone who would say someone is right about an opinion they disagree with, no matter what the context. Its opinion, everyone has one.

No, my comment was only about the waterfall itself being off and that that was only temporary. My recollection was always that the mist was there not that it was a new B mode.

You mean Corless? I think he's been known to jump to conclusions on many things that later get proven false. So yeah I take what he says with a huge grain of salt.

Yes Corless.

Regard Less (see what I did there) it's great news that the waterfall wasn't axed.

I wonder if they ever test it out. “Ok looks like they care about the waterfalls. Turn em on.” Lol

I honestly didn’t expect the missing waterfalls to get so much traction on social media. Warms my heart.

I always assumed its they have a deadline they have to hit and whatever isn't finished/working by the deadline is left to be done in subsequent days/weeks after opening. Its very common in many industries.

Someone on the tweeter claimed that the water basin was resealed and wasn’t finished curing yet, so when they pushed up the sudden opening of the ride, no waterfall inside until that was ready.

I've been on it a number of times over the years without the waterfalls on. I'm guessing it's either someone didn't flip a switch, or the 50 year old plumbing needs work or something sometimes.

Out of curiosity, where did you hear of the 'Michael Jackson' claim?
Jim Hill's website back in the day, he had a huge multipart article on Tommorowland 2055. Also had a Light Magic one which was super entertaining.

Jim Hill's site is impossible to find old content on, but found this from Orange County Register:

"When America Sings was closed for 12 years, Disney came up with several concepts inside the building that now holds Innoventions. In the 1980s, creators thought of Star Palace, in which a rocket ship landed and a show would emerge. The show would star an animatronic, moon-walking Michael Jackson, aliens and characters described as, “Wild, Untamed. Huge Hooters from Hoth.”"

The Jim Hill article all about Michael Jackson and Plectu has been located! I did not imagine this! Took me a lot of internet searching.

@Shishagumi

Give him a click but also going to have the relevant parts below for archival purposes

"Here's a fun factoid for all of you Michael Jackson fans out
there: Following the success of "Captain EO," Michael Jackson and the
Imagineers actually spent about six months in the late 1980s developing a
follow-up attraction. One that would have reimagined the King of Pop as a
three-armed outer-space impresario called P.T. Quantum.

round show building. Copyright Disney Enterprises, Inc. All rights reserved
The basic premise behind this proposed Tomorrowland
attraction (which was to have been built inside of the old Carousel of Progress
theater-go-round building) was that P.T. Quantum's space-going-circus had accidently
crash-landed at Disneyland. And in order to raise the money necessary to make
repairs to his now-damaged starship, this intergalactic ringmaster was – for
the first time ever – going to allow humans to come see his out-of-this-world assortment
of acts.

would have been located in relation to all of the other rides & shows found in Disneyland's

Tomorrowland section. Copyright Disney Enterprises, Inc. All rights reserved
Among the "performers" that were to have been featured in this
Audio Animatronic extravaganza was a this multi-ton muck monster. Who-after she
slowly hauled herself out of the ooze that filled an onstage – was to have sung
a beautifully operatic quintet with her five mouths.

note the large-mouthed diva at the very center of this image surrounded by her swamp-

dwelling orchestra. Which was to have performed a musical number that Danny

Elfman was going to write for this proposed Tomorrowland addition.

But the show's finale was always supposed to be a
performance by P.T. himself. Who – of course – was going to be voiced by
Michael Jackson. The only problem was that the Imagineers could never get a AA
figure to do what Jackson did onstage. Which was to dazzle the crowd with a
high energy performance that skillfully combined dancing, singing and
showmanship."
