Ever wonder what those costumes must smell like after sitting for twenty years?
Who knows, but I think it's time for those two to finally get a makeover (similar to Clarabelle and Horace Horsecollar recently). Especially Miss Bianca, who need to look much whiter instead of a different shade of grey.

That's true Miss Bianca is a white mouse. Even Bernard is a brown mouse. I think the film quality made her look gray and that is probably what they used to build the costume. They should give us this outfit instead.

Galaxies Edge has grown on me… a little bit. I was probably a bit too harsh on the land initially when it opened in regards to the aesthetics. I think the greenery is sufficient in most parts of the land. I’m guessing the trees continuing to mature has something to do with that. I do wish the vines that we see on the spires behind the Falcon in the concept art made the cut. Im also not sure it’s as “beige” as I made it out to be as I do see notes of yellow and white accents here and there.

I still think it desperately needs kinetic energy and would love to see even just one water feature.

Aww shoot, I hadn't seen The Rescuers since 2015 (as preparation for my High School Class Trip to Walt Disney World in mid April of that same year) and I forgot how pretty she looked with that outfit. That actually would been perfect as a secondary outfit actually. Also maybe making Bianca and Bernard less... "chubby". Alongside the eyes (which screams 70s and 80s era Disney Parks).

Besides that, I'm extremely happy to see some of Disney's lesser-known characters getting love from Disneyland (and Walt Disney World) in the U.S. Disney Parks recently. Even if it's just for a one time event. I don't know about you, but I'm getting tried of the usual characters that guests meet or see is either from Disney's Greatest Hits (The Walt Era and The Disney Renaissance Period,) and the unofficial "Second Disney Renaissance" Era which we're currently at. So seeing characters from The Dark Period of Disney is very refreshing.

At least Tokyo Disney Resort and Disneyland Paris gives more love to Disney's lesser-known/obscure characters of Disney's past. Such as The King of Hearts, Mr. Walrus, Maleficent's Goons, The Three Caballeros characters Gauchito and Burrito the Donkey.

I still think it's the ambient sounds that are a problem. It's very quiet. There is no Star Wars soundtrack playing. You do hear ships taking off and landing. I don't hear droids beeping. They don't seem to move very often. I did see the Sprite droid turn its head and beep once. Maybe it's a blink and you miss it thing?

Yeah I forgot to mention that some sort of Alien band going around playing would be great too. I don’t mind the quietness or just the animal and random spaceship sounds on the ROTR side but the other side of the land needs to be more lively. I used to think I wanted to hear the Star Wars soundtrack around the land but then I walked into Avengers Campus and I realized I don’t. With that said I’m sure there are clever ways they could sprinkle it throughout the land by changing the arrangement depending on the location.

And yes their needs to be droids that are beeping and moving around the land. The ones scattered throughout the land are all “dead.” 4 or 5 droids (more would be better of course) and two or three show stopping aliens would probably do the trick.

That is something that has bothered me for a while. Disney only picks for a small group of films for its parades, fireworks, watershow and stage shows. They keep going back to that well over and over. If a film isn't one of those select then you never hear about in the parks. Even their latest stuff gets blacklisted if it doesn't make money.

Looking at Disney shows, Pixar only made Toy Story, Cars, Coco and Monsters Inc. Disney itself only made the Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, Frozen, Snow White, Pinoccelo, Lion King and whatever the latest movie they are pushing.

As much as I love Snow White, I've always thought that Snow White herself looks kind of ridiculous next to the Dwarfs. It's such a drastic art style contrast; you have this realistically proportioned human character who was rotoscoped from an actual actress, and she's in the very same room as these huge-headed cartoon homunculus guys with giant blobby hands and noses. It was an interesting blend of Disney still designing a lot of their characters in their usual 1930s Silly Symphonies style, but making some of the characters look very realistic in order the emphasize the film's serious nature, definitely with no thought at all about making the designs look consistent with each other.

If Disney had made Snow White in the sixties or so, the Dwarfs would look a lot less cartoony and Snow White would look a lot less realistic. If you look at a movie like Dalmatians or The Sword in the Stone, you can see how stylistically consistent Disney's character designs had become by that point. All the characters from that period are very angular-looking, relatively low on detail, and only mildly cartoony. No feature is ever too exaggerated, and even a complete wackjob character like Madam Mim is drawn in a way that doesn't make her look any more cartoony than anyone else. I had never even realized it before recently, but I think that precise consistency between the character designs from the 1960s is actually the main reason why I'm such a fan of them.

Strongly agree, as I mentioned earlier. Disney's International/Overseas Parks (mainly Tokyo Disney Resort and Disneyland) does a much better job at this. Both parks not only focus on Disney's past and present with the characters, but give more exposure to Disney's obscure works and characters. For example, there is a statue of Danny the Black Sheep from the 1947 live-action film "So Dear To My Heart" at Westerland that was added in 2015 during Year of The Sheep.

I just realized Disney never created a face character of Madam Mim from The Sword In The Stone. Considering how entertaining and fun The Mad Hatter and Cruella De Vil are at the parks.

Imagine seeing her out and about in the Disney Parks (specifically during the Halloween season). Heck, if Merlin might someday returns to the pulling of the Sword In The Stone at Fantasyland. Imagine if Mim suddenly interrupted the ceremony to cause mischief with Merlin (minus the transformation/shapeshifting abilities).

Hey if a face character version of The Queen of Hearts and the Old Hag (exclusive to Disneyland Paris) worked. I don't see why not.

I find Galaxy's Edge the land I tend to hang out the most in on my last few trips. I've never had an issue with the concept of the land, but more the execution of it. I agree that it can use more kinetic energy as well as a lot of the other things they had presented to us before the land opened. More elaborate stage shows that aren't just Kylo Ren coming out and asking if people know where the resistance is. More face characters walking around and they don't even have to be familiar ones. Just random aliens that make the place look like it's in the Star Wars universe (not just Kyle from Tustin or the purple-haired lady).

What about the bounty hunters and the consequences for crashing the Falcon? Yes, droids would be nice, but I can understand the struggle there.

R2 was out on one of my trips before the pandemic hit. Granted R2 is famous, but there had to be a handler there because people suck and kids would probably be touching it, kicking it, knocking it over, etc. So as much as free roaming droids would be cool, this is probably all we can get and probably won't happen again until the pandemic is over. I think a missed opportunity would have been to put droids on a track on the overhead bridges and walkways. Then you'd have the kinetic movement, but not the problem of people messing with them. As a side note, on my last trip, there was a CM sitting at a table playing some Star Wars card game (Sabacc?) with some guests. That was kinda cool.

By the way, you can make the static droids around the land move by hacking into them with the Play Disney app. It's not the same, but it's something. As a segue, I really enjoy the Play Disney app and the interaction it has with the land, but hate that the credits are useless. If they made them worth something (like free fastpasses or discounts on merch) then that would be nice. I know someone mentioned that they should configure the land (with lights and/or flags or something) at the end of the night to commemorate the winning side for that day.

Music. Such a highly debated topic. It's the difference between making the land feel authentic and the tradition of music being played in all the rest of the park(s). I know I'm in the minority, but I like the lack of music. You do get plenty of it on the attractions. Most people don't realize, but Batuu has a radio station. I know of at least two spots where you can hear it. The first is in the speeder garage:

The second is slightly west of the garage coming from here:

I don't recall anywhere else. Of course you hear the loud booming of the music from the Cantina when you walk near that. I also think the wildlife sounds from the Resistance side are cool.

I know that a lot of people would prefer GE was an already known land, but I like the idea of a new locale to explore. Would a different era had been better? Maybe, maybe not. I think execution of the land and adding the things they didn't add would have been good enough to suffice not being in the OT or PT eras. Just my opinion.

If even one in every thousand people was interested in renting out Mickey’s house, they’d be constantly turning people away and leaving money on the table. The price is on point for the small niche it’s aimed for.
