Ok, this is a P.S.A for y'all. I keep reading reports of people getting sunburned or regretting not wearing sunscreen.

Take it from this kid that has survived melanoma: WEAR SUNSCREEN. Don't forget the tops of your ears and tops of your feet (if you wear sandals)!

Every sunburn doubles your risk of skin cancer, so please take care of your skin.

That is all..... ;)

I’m in deep trouble then. I only wear sunscreen at the beach... sometimes.

Just a few non Avengers Campus related thoughts from my trip yesterday. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that the issue with DCA is not that there is not enough to do (especially if you have young kids and don’t mind the flat rides). I spent the entire day at DCA for the first time in my life where a Disneyland day was not attached somehow. Anyway, the best way for me to describe it is that it’s just missing something. Its missing a heart and soul. I feel emotionally unsatisfied after a day at DCA. For me personally I think that has to do with the rich, diverse and exotic themes at DL and music/ sounds. The live music, lack of songs on rides and just all the songs from the classic fairy tales.

It's a combination of not enough to do and not enough good atmosphere, too many open areas of concrete. Walkways to nothing. Nothing feels classic except what they tried to make feel retro, which is why I like Carthay Circle and 2015 Grizzly Airfield.

I think it’s pretty much at the point or maybe just near the point where there is enough to do if you have kids and don’t mind dabbling with some of the flat rides at least. I think at this point it’s mostly due to lack of quality and not quantity.

CA is still not an all day park imo. I think when/if they make that eastern gateway expanion of HollywoodLand + Phase 2 of Avengers Campus....then it might be. Theres some really great stuff in CA but its just not enough rides yet. Also the lack of shade sucks, that was the really great thing about bugsland. it was totally shaded.

Heres a crazy thought.....Not a good thought but Ill still share it cause im high. what if they demo'd paradise pier hotel and redeveloped that entire lot into an Endor themed star wars land covered with massive trees. Im talking like a Tarzan treehouse/Camp Discovery on steroids covering the land with walking bridges and whatnot....anyways if they built a monorail that was themed like a transport ship that took you from Endor to Batuu. Using simulated window tech like Space 220 they could make it look like you were taking off from each land and landing in the other. Yellow line shows approx path, its a pretty straight shot if you build Batuu station near RotR/behind Pooh. Kinda like how Hogwarts Express is at Universal, this simulated spaceship ride would connect both parks

A couple “quick” fixes for DCA would be a suspended UP ride maybe where the challenge trail is and a Coco boat ride in whatever backstage area at Pixar Pier that can be used.

id kinda likt to keep the challenge trail. i dont really use it much but when i do its a nice break. and it gives kids a place to run around and burn off some energy

I know. I do like it and see it’s value but it is precious real estate.

Do you ever see people at the beach who look… crispy? Like at first glance they look old, at second glance they look worn out, and at third glance you realize they’ve just had way too many sun burns over the years. Some people don’t burn easily and that’s wonderful, but I do, and I don’t want to look 80 when I’m 50. I still hate sunscreen though.

It's been talked about before. Disney owns the hotel but not the land the hotel is on. So they can't do much
A story that has been told but makes little sense. Not owning the land isn’t an entirely unusual situation and it typically does not prevent one from making improvements that include demolition of existing structures.

I wear a big sun hat to shade my face and ears, suncreen on my legs, and then I wear these on my arms:

Allows me to take them off inside (to cool off), and sometimes when hiking I get them wet first. They come in all sorts of patterns and stuff too. No need to be greasy if you don't want to. :D

Concept I believe for the Ursula spinner rumored to have been going into the empty area inside the Incredicoaster, part of the Pixar Pier project before it was cut if I remember correctly.
I believe this is the cancelled Little Mermaid flatride for Paris which was supposed to go into the spot below. The roof structure in the second concept art would be the structure that acts as the extended queue for Small world now.

You can also see in the lower right corner that the concept art is named in French instead of English. "Jardin D'Ursula". Ursula's garden.

Interesting, thank you. We can get it delivered and they can say “I ate a MrBeast burger!” to all their friends.
FYI :)
Last night I was fully prepared to order Taco Bell... but then I went on DoorDash and noticed a new place called Mr.Beast Burger. (https://mrbeastburger.com/)

After some preliminary research, it turns out it was started by a YouTuber called, you guessed it, Mr. Beast.

Apparently they run what they call "ghost kitchens" (not a physical location, so it's delivery only) all across the country (300 total) and you can only order them through the Mr.Beast app, or through third party delivery apps.

I had their "Beast Style" burger

and "Beast Style" fries.

Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. They call their burgers, "smash burgers" which were good, but left the edges pretty crispy, and there's just kind of an overall somewhat greasy "grilled" taste that permeates everything. The fries were good though, reminding me a lot of In-N-Out's "animal style", but with whole pickles, mustard, and mayo in additional to ketchup, grilled onions, and cheese.

Mostly, I think you'd get this for the gimmick of it all... It honestly reminded me of food you'd buy at a sporting event or county fair.

Interesting! I sewed some cotton arm tubes to protect owies. Hadn't thought about using them your way. We can start a fashion.

I also made cotton hoodies which I washed in Sun Guard. I wet them to wear in the heat.

Edit to add that I often use an umbrella too, which my companions don't always appreciate.
