See that was the problem, no one wanted to build an AA of Jim to save Muppets.I can go to Anaheim, Paris, Tokyo and get an ROA. There are countless other small man made circular “rivers” in other parks. Muppetvision is a tribute to Jim in the same way CoP is a tribute to Walt.
This is great.
No tears from me on the muppets exit either. The love I think is really more bout Jim Henson who many hold in super high regard , even though the muppets still aired when I was growing up I don’t get the fanaticism with itI dunno l. It’s just wild to me that show on a screen inside a building can have more support than the ROA. Sorry to the ones that are saddened by the loss of the ROA but I feel less bad now. Hahah
Enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing. Dollywood looks very charming. That cinnamon bread!
Yeah the format was great. I enjoy his videos. His prime rib recipe is great, reverse sear method, it's how I make mine now!
Wondering why he didn’t try the fried chicken at Plaza Inn
I wanted to see him compare them for sure. I was shocked to hear Knott's chicken isn't very good, I thought that was their thing.
It really isn’t. Had it twice now in the last couple years and it’s just bland. And if IIRC correctly… not very crispy. It’s a shame. They need to work on that.
He did try it in his OG Disney video:
It's the most lackluster fried chicken I've ever had. No real seasoning, spice, or anything distinctive enough to warrant the insane weight times the restaurant used to get, unless fried chicken was VERY hard to come by in SoCal in the 30s and 40s.I wanted to see him compare them for sure. This guy spells out what a mistake it was to remove the river. I was a little ambivalent about it but Brayden gave me a new perspective on why it should stay.

The dinner experience is a cool one (and you also still get it with other chicken menu items), and the restaurant is a fun place to eat, but you're honestly better off getting the chicken tenders than what should be the signature meal of the park.
Value-wise, Knott's puts Plaza to shame, even if you opt for the to-go stand rather than the full sit down experience, but the actual taste of the Plaza Inn fried chicken is MUCH better.

Controversial opinion, he's right about the garlic pretzel bread. I wanted to love it, but it was honestly not much different from those super-fake-tasting cheesy breads you'd get at a place like Domino's. Maybe it's better with a bratwurst or something inside of it, but by itself, I wasn't impressed.
I also agree that the Plaza biscuit could be better.
He MASSIVELY overrates the churro toffee square, though. Good, yes. Best food of the resort, absolutely not.
