The one time they shouldve just done a tax write off instead of releasing a movie.
Can we put a pin in that?

Captain America 4 would like to argue its case. If it’s bad it could really tank Marvel, and early reports suggest it is. They really need that movie to do well so that people get excited for Suicide Squaaaaa I mean Thunderbolts* this summer and F4 next winter. I question if they should not release it, and move on to focusing on F4.

Weird…weird.

The Snow White freedom fighter scene looks like it has potential though. This must be where she makes her father proud and becomes the warrior she was always meant to be. She’s becoming “the leader that her father told her she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave and true.” I actually kind of like where they re going with it. Breath of fresh air to have a heroine for once. Elsa/ Anna x2 Judy Hopps, Moana x2 , Raya, Mirabel, Asha, Rey, Captain Marvel, the new super hero Bo Peep from Toy Story 4 etc were all boring stereotypical damsels in distress so it kind of made sense to do something fresh and reinvent the old dated Snow White so she could appeal to modern audiences. They kind of had to do it.
I can guarantee at least two things that will happen in this movie.

1. Snow White will save the Prince instead of the other way around (because he will most likely be dumb or emasculated or both).
2. When he goes to kiss her he will ask for her consent first. She will deny it and say something like "I'm the powerful girl I was meant to be. I don't need a man."

Temu Avengers....I mean....Thunderbolts won't be worth my time and I already lost interest in F4 with female Silver Surfer and Pedro Pascal.

Isn't the Thunderbolts basically the Marvel version of the Suicide Squad?

I think you get both male and female versions of the Silver Surfer. One in the past. One in the present. I could be wrong.

Didn’t Disney do this first with Once Upon A Time?
Sort of. Once Upon a Time had a very different overall story construct, and character changes worked better in that context. This is a rewriting of an animated classic film, with a seemingly same beat-for-beat storyline. Changing the story's characters and tone in this context will inevitably fall under the headings of "brilliant" or "how dare you!" by audiences. Disney's choices here are baffling.

Posted this over in the fun Box Office thread elsewhere, but it's a good question here...

This weekend is the Candlelight Procession & Ceremony at Disneyland. The celebrity narrator who reads the story of the first Christmas from the Bible is always a secret until Saturday afternoon. Who will it be this year?

I'd like to see/hear Dwayne Johnson, who stars in Moana 2, read that Bible story to us! I think his stage presence and bravado voice would be great at that!

Who will it be for this year's Candlelight Ceremony? Stay tuned! 🎄

I really wish they could find a way to do this more then 1 weekend at DLR. it’s my favorite part of Christmas at WDW and due to its exclusivity and limited showings is something that I never want to do at DL. I know you all think it’s sacrilege to do the preformance anywhere but the MSUSA station but would it really be so bad to do this at FL Theatre nightly for 5 weeks every year? I’m sure they could convince enough celebrities to do it. So many more people could experience it.

It's not like the general park goer gets to watch the show. It's for the beautiful people only.

It clogs up the front entrance. It should be a show in the FL theater done the entire Christmas season.

Can we all agree a Fastpass/LL/Multi-Pass for Indiana Jones is a waste of money? What’s the most time it’s ever saved anyone, like 20 minutes? The merge point is way too early in the queue for it to be worthwhile. Save your line-cutting opportunity for Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Matterhorn, etc.

It’s helpful late afternoon (when the line is out the queue) or 2-3 hours after the park opens (when the interior queue is still walking in but pulsing is giving the out door line a 30 min wait.

I agree. It's a completely valid point.

Indiana Jones opened in 1995, and it's amazing how out of date and incompatible its entire queue and boarding area is for the 21st century demands of Fastpass, Lightning Lane, Genie+ A La Carte, DAS, Emotional Support Animals, Re-Admission Passes, ECV's, Project Pixie Dust, TDA President Du Jour Whims, etc., etc.

I'm thinking of the Tokyo DisneySea version and its much different queue; built for Japanese egalitarianism and equality just six years later. And the Tokyo version of that queue is far more accommodating and efficient, plus it tells an even better story.
