You should do some research. The majority of the critics and many of the ones who posted in this very thread, have said that they expected more of it and that it can drag at times and become very tiresome.

Reviews mean jack!!

The majority going to see this film are fans that are going to see it over and over again. Reviews mean jack for this sort of film. You have to be all completely off your rockers to think this film will fall off the Top 10 in less then three weeks.

My boyfriend made me go see it with him a second time and let me tell you, for me it didn't get any better. It turned into my own private episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I made fun of the movie the whole time. If only Tom and Crow were there it would of made this movie a much more enjoyable experience. :D

Note to all who have complained about the film......

THIS IS ONLY HALF OF THE FILM!!!!

To fully understand, watch the original again, watch the Animatrix DVD and watch The Matrix Revolutions when it comes out this November then come back and make a statement about it. That is the only way to fully understand the whole thing.

Well any idiot really could figuare that Persephone is the Mother of the Matrix if you just payed attention to the dialogue and the actions within the course of the film.

I'm with Mickey Moose on this one, even if he's totally nuts. As much as I was dissapointed by Reloaded I'm still going to go see it again, and I've got a few friends who have already seen it thrice. It's just one of those movies like The Fast and the Furious where people will go back again and again all summer long just because the movie is so much fun to watch . Besides, I've heard that Reloaded is better the second time through anyway because instead of wondering whether or not it will live up to your expectations you can sit back and enjoy it for what it is. So, while it might not stay at the number 1 spot for another 4 weeks, it's going to hover in the top 10 for as long as it's in the theatres.
Three quick thoughts:
The closing music montage was awful.
The Revolutions trailer at the end of the videogame is much better. Find it and download it to see a certain someone laugh maniacally.
If I never see another Wire-Fu sequence again I'll die a happy man.

1. I am like the only one here thinking with logical and actual thought on the process and success of this film.
2. How dare you compare this film to The Fast & the Furious? That had to be the worst film ever made. The Matrix Reloaded runs about a thousand laps around that piece of tripe.
3. It is not going to be #1 for four weeks. Two or three at most. This weekend, it will be definitely #1 because of the Memorial Day weekend. Finding Nemo may take #1 next weekend because of the family audience.
4. The montage music at the end was great!! The Marlyn Manson song was bad but everything else was great. Mary didn't care for it much but she isn't into that sort of music. I am getting the soundtrack and it going to be so great. Sleeping Awake, When the World Ends and Furious Angels are the best songs on the soundtrack. Listen to them!!!
5. The wire-fu thing gets annoying but you do have to admit those scenes were great and made the action interesting. The only reason you find it annoying is because so many other films have copied that technique that it becomes repetitive.

Somebody actually burned me a copy of the Animatrix (he got it off the internet or something like that) and it was pretty cool. I liked it a lot better than the movie. It explained some of the points in the movie, like the kid who kept asking Neo if he needed help with his things.

And yes, I know this is only half of the film. There are other movies like this too, like the Back to the Future trilogy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy that have done a better job of doing this. I'm saying that this movie by itself, was not very good, I'm aware that not everything is going to be explained until the next film. I gathered that from the "To Be Concluded" at the end of the film. But this as a stand alone was not very good.

I'm sure it wasn't intended to be a stand alone. I'm sure everybody involved is loving all the crazy ideas people are coming up with to explain everything that's going on, and hopefully this whole thing won't end up taking place in a locker like MIB2.

And 'SPOILER WARNING' (even though anybody who has come this deep into the thread should know by now it is spoiler filled) about the mother of the matrix:
If the architect is not some kind of lying satan character and he told neo the truth, then why did he reply "Please..." in a sarcastic, 'yeah right' kind of tone when neo thought the oracle was the mother of the matrix. If the architect is telling the truth, which i think he is, (or at least his character thinks he is telling the truth, or doesn't know any better since he's a computer program) then the oracle probably isn't the mother of the matrix. I'm putting my bets on Persephone.

The freaking movie hasn't opened worldwide, so it's kinda hard to pay attention to the dialogue...

Thanks, Goofster. And in fact, if you reread the thread, the spoilers only started in this page. People were acting very civil untill this page...

But this film is totally different then those. At least those you can look at the book, read and know what is going to happen. Most of the excitement is lost.

The movie has opened in 13 countries outside of the United States. It opens in the rest of the world tomorow.

Her role wasn't that big in The Matrix Reloaded which gives reason why her character would play a bigger role in The Matrix Revolutions. There are no small or big characters in these films. They all play off each other.

Boy,I have seen it twice and still did not get that,I`ll have to listen to the dialog a little harder next time, cause I thought the architect was refering to the Oracle as the mother of the Matrix!:D
