The Magic, The Memories, & You! is a Big Disappointment

I saw a video of The Magic, The Memories, & You! on YouTube and I think its one of the worst Disney has done. It's just tourists' pictures projected onto the castle. Anyone can do this on Movie Maker. I've seen better shows on my local beach boardwalk. Disney, this is to you, please come up with better attractions and shows! :fork::mad:

I think you might have seen a different show...because what I saw was amazing. It's a pre show and a pretty amazing one at that.

This was a huge surprise for me. I expected nothing out of this show, and it's really good. While I could care less about the pictures on the castle, the effects were very good. This is the style of improvement that Disney needs to focus on. This was likely relatively cheap, and it looks nice. They should make these types of small improvements to attractions here and there.

Let's see if you have the same opinion if/when you see your picture on the castle. I think it looks awesome especially when it is perfectly timed to the fireworks at the end.

This show absolutely blew me away when I saw it tonight live. There were parts where I couldn't tell it they were projections or actual things happening on the castle. The images (not talking about the pictures) are very realistic at points, especially when they are building the castle and when things are climbing all over it. Amazing!

Obvious troll is obvious.

This is a level.
I don't think someone is a troll just for not liking something. Although I don't know previous posts. I have to say it does look kinda cool though, minus the lame vacation pics. The only person I want to see on the castle is Walt. Look forward to seeing.

From another thread, here are OP's top 5 rides ever:

  1. Test Track
  2. Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey
  3. Horizons
  4. Kingda Ka
  5. The Haunted Mansion
He likes a terrible roller coaster more than The Haunted Mansion. He thinks Test Track is the best attraction ever.

Troll.

I think it was pretty cool!! I liked it when they put walts face up there!!

Oh, yeah, when he said "To all who come to this happy place - welcome!" I just about wanted to cry. That won me over right there. I wasn't too thrilled about the projections bit, and frankly I could still do without the tourist pictures, but everything else was awesome.

I throughly enjoyed the video (I'll see it in person in a little over a week!):sohappy:. The vacation photos were OK but the overall show was beautiful. I'm assuming that we'll see some variation of this for many years to come (hopefully, with no vacation photos :)).

Your opinion is wrong. If you're not a troll, you wanted to hate it so badly (like I did) that you saw it and hated the fact that its actually pretty darn good.

Don't Shoot me..... :lookaroun:

But i quite like the "tourist photo's", they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside (they 2 little princess's playing together, awwwwww), it think its the voyeurist (not a real word(i know)) in me that enjoys experiencing others lives...... sure isn't that why we all love trip reports so much, and spend hours looking through others photos online.....

Just because Kermit prefers Kingda Ka over the Haunted Mansion in NO WAY makes him a "troll". He listed 3 Disney rides among his Top 5, and the 2 that aren't Disney are considered pretty amazing rides. (haven't seen Potter, but from my experience, Kingda Ka is FAR from a "terrible" roller-coaster IMO!)

I'm not, and have never been, a big Haunted Mansion fan because I don't care for Haunted Houses, or supernatural-themed attractions in general. So I also prefer Kingda Ka, as well as most attractions at WDW, over it. If I make a truthful statement like that about my tastes, does that make me a "troll", just because it reflects a different point of view than the majority of fans?

Here's more for you:

The new Figment ride is my second favorite all-time Epcot ride, behind only the original.

I LIKE Stitch's Great Escape, Sounds Dangerous, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Magic Carpets Of Aladdin!

And yes, the new Castle show is nice too. I would only have an issue with it if they could use your picture without your consent, but it is my understanding that they don't do that, so I'm fine with it. But Kermit has the right to his own opinion without being called a "troll"!

Does anyone know where you can re-watch the show?

I bet it is awesome!! As I have seen other shows like it but I bet this is the best! I don't know how you can say just tourist pictures on a castle
