Nova Era

Maybe Nova Era decided to come back, they were simply marvelous:)
...and I thought that the pavilions (the country itself) contracted the entertainment to draw people to their pavilion to (hopefully) shop and eat?

Im glad to see them go as when they first came out they where indeed different. Now you see them in every major city and other theme parks as well.I expect Disney to stay ahead of the game.Im sure there will be other acts following.I hope they always keep the Chinese Acrobats as it's one thing I hate to miss and there performances always change and it can be done inside and outside.

I hope that this is not true . . . we loved the living statues  If you ask me, they were worth most anything that they might have been asking (if in fact, that was the issue) . . . working in the hot FLA sun like that!

Anyone know what they had on to give the pasty white statue appearance?

I think it's the same thick white makeup clowns use. I got some on my face once and I remember it being thick and greasy...haha...maybe crisco makes it!

Living Statue Update

My fiance, Sara has been working for Unity Productions for the past two weeks out in Osaka Japan at Universal Studios. She's doing the living statue act as an Angel. I posted some pictures on my blog at: http://blog.joeygreen.org I actually spoke to Serge, the creator of the show about his deal with Disney. According to him they wanted to make the living statue show exclusive to Epcot which wouldn't allow him to do the show anywhere else. Therefore he chose not to renew his contract with Disney so he can do the show where ever he wants.

ENJOY THE PICS!

Why doesn't the entertainment unit just replace the act themselves by hiring some acting school students who've had a mime class or two?

Unity has a clause in their original contract with Disney that prevents Disney from replicating any of their acts. So you most likely wont see anything at Epcot or any Disney park that resembles any act on http://unityproductions.com
