The Living Seas: Nemo Ride

My fiancee and I had a chance to ride the "Nemo Ride" at "The Living Seas" today. Overall, the ride was pretty cute. Though, I found it hysterical when she flipped out during the jellyfish scene. LOL

It's amazing how the changes of The Living Seas came about. From an attraction where there were "hydrolators" and "scuba gear" all over the place to an attraction based on Finding Nemo.

Speaking of hydrolators, I assume they're gone? I didn't see them.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends is an alright addition to Epcot, better than what was there before, IMHO.

Yes, the Hydrolators are gone now. I used to hate having to go through them to get to the Seabase. I guess I could've just gone through the exit. hah.

Trying to get my bearings straight with that ride, as you entered the building, and went through the windy-queue, past the lifeguard chair, and into the room where it appeared as if you were underwater (this is right before you get into the Clam-Mobiles), where were the hydrolators in reference to this point?- I assume that room we were in was the area where I guess you had a choice to either go on the Hydrolators to Sea-Base Alpha or you could've went in to go see a 10 min film on The Living Seas.

I have no idea.
Maybe someone has a diagram or someone will know.
As far as I can remember, there are a few rooms that the queue extends "underwater" through.

We all loved the Nemo ride. Of course being a mom I've seen the movie about 1 million billion times! I love what they did with the building. My kids love fish and just had a blast in there.

I suppose I should withhold judgement until we go in April, but as of right now, I am thoroughly disgusted that they have "dumbed down" the Living Seas to this pathetic Nemo theme. What's next? Dumbing down "Living with the Land?"

I think they're using Nemo more now to attract little kids, to something more educational. Although Classic Epcot was an amazing theme park, the little tykes didn't appreciate it and now that Nemo is involved, the kids want to get involved. I found it amazing. In relation to the hydrolaters, the first full underwater scene is the only theater for the movie, and when you pass to the right into the next room with the boat, I believe that's where the hydrolators used to be, not sure though.

As requested. Note, in later years if you bypassed `The Sea` preshow film you`d go through Theatre Two. This bypass corridor was built inside the theatre room, leaving the structure sound - it is this theatre where proposals are to put it back to how it was and have a larger Turtle Talk presentation with manageable queue area.

Living with the Land was already a dumbed-down ride from day one. If I wanted a tour of a greenhouse, I'd go to a nursery... for free. ;)

Maybe they should combine "The Land" with "Mission: SPACE" hmmm....

"Living With The Land On Mars?" ;)

I knew it was going to be you with a diagram. I knew it.
Call it a sixth sense?
Wow, I'm cool.

Thank you for the diagram too, it clears things up.

Marni,

Looking at the new TT location, doesn't it look like the theater could unload into the bypass hallway and then into Seabase Alpha rather then backtracking into the "Nemo and Friends" module space?

That seems like it would easily fix some crowd flow issues..

This doesn't really have to do with anything we're talking about, but the last time I rode the Nemo ride the Angler fish AA wasn't working. They had the sound, but no movement! Is there any reason for this? Maybe it was "tired" from the days work because it was around 11:00PM

They already did that. An automated spiel now. No castmember anymore.
