The Last Party in Club Motion

So yeah, I got to go to a party for DTD cast members that was held at Club Motion in Pleasure Island. I'd never been inside any of the clubs before, so it was an interesting experience. The building itself seemed perfectly fine and was still completely usable, but apparently the party I went to was officially the last event to ever be held there... Kinda sad...

I wish I had some pics to show, but I don't have a still camera at the moment...

I agree, its pretty sad. I know its been said a million times, but I just think closing PI has got to be one of the worst decisions ever made. It ranks right up there with closing Mr Toad, removing 20,000 Leagues, and "re-imagining" JII.

Closing pleasure island... what're their plans for the area now? More restaurants and shops? they can't even keep the west side occupied!

Closing PI has resulted in a financial windfall for me. Saved $200 on passes and now go to DTD once a month instead of an estimated 12-15 times a month. We would spend about $20-$25 each time we went.

In total thats an estimated $4000 I won't be spending at DTD.

Too bad though, $4000 seems small for all that entertainment and refreshments.:cry::cry::cry:

UGH! I totally had plans to go to this and then completely forgot! How was the food?

I can't believe I missed out on Disney buying my lunch. When is the next time I'll have that opportunity?!

What was that club like when it was alive and well?

Motions as I'm sure you saw was Huge. As you walked through the doors the DJ/VJ was center stage on the dance floor with a big screen that played videos behind them (all top 40). It was a club geared mostly to the younger crowd 18 - 20 since the other clubs only allowed them in Sun - Wed. There was a bar on the left downstairs that served "Mocktails" and upstairs there was a bar that served alcoholic beverages. The upstairs was only open to 21+, and if my memory serves me right I believe we were not allowed to bring our drinks downstairs but I could be wrong. Other than that all I can remeber of Motions was that everything was BLUE even the drinks which included the light up ice cubes and stir sticks.
