Don’t know what stuckman is… but what is the WORST movie that you have seen this month?Really hope this is a Stuckman jab haha.

Chris Stuckmann. He's a really famous YouTube movie critic who gained a large chunk of his audience through his "Hilariocity" reviews of terrible movies and now refuses to even vaguely negatively criticize anything because he's made an indie horror movie and is desperate not to step on any industry toes. I've recently incorporated an impression of him shaming people for very mild negative criticism on my podcast so I thought you might have seen that haha.
As for worst movie I've seen this month, honestly I'm kind of in existential crisis mode because I simply KNOW nothing is going to live up to Dune Part Two so I haven't even attempted to watch anything. The only other media besides YouTube I've consumed at all this month is just the new Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes that drop every week.

Your trend of going out of your way to find the trashiest of trash just to add to the list of things you've seen is basically the same phase I went through in 2007-2008. I'm pretty sure there's still a ranking of over 100 2007 movies online somewhere from me. I'll see if I can dig it up.

If it happens, it will probably be in the form of a book I want to write about my "Mount Rushmore" movies of every year from 2000-2019. It certainly wouldn't be everything. I think last night's podcast proved that even in a total banger year like 2007 there's plenty of lame filler stuff that literally isn't worth talking about or remembering.
I promised @TheOriginalTiki that I’d make a post when I saw it. Just got out of Love Lies Bleeding and it was really solid!
It’s definitely not a movie for everyone and even for me it got a little weird towards the end, but overall it’s one of the best I’ve seen this month and probably this year.

I thought it was really solid as well. Easily the #2 of the year so far but still way, WAAAAAY behind Dune haha. (As I expect will be the case with literally every single 2024 movie going forward
) I definitely thought the cast and direction/cinematography/editing were all top tier. The chemistry the two leads have make Drive Away Dolls look like even more of a joke of a movie by comparison. Ed Harris is the most terrifying long haired hippie villain this side of Mark Rylance in Bones and All. The whole film felt very original with a timeless sort of feeling to the story. The closest I can compare the film is it's like the brutal shocking violence of Talk to Me mixed with the clinically depressing world of bodybuilding within The Iron Claw. That's a pretty damn unique combination. I'll agree with you though, the third act very much is where the film ran out of juice. I feel like for all the plot revelations regarding the Ed Harris character the movie could have easily been an extra 20 or minutes longer. The surrealism of the actual ending is definitely on brand with Rose Glass, but doesn't hit nowhere near as hard as the St. Maude ending.
