Twilight_Roxas began this brainstorming thread that gained some traction in the early weeks of June, with the premise of "Since Disney Infinity is cancelled, and Lego Dimensions is getting new characters this open brainstorm is a what if Disney allows Warner Bros to include Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars in Lego Dimensions."
Around the time that Frozen Ever After debuted in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, TwilightZone decided to post her thoughts on how to improve the attraction. The improvements sparked some good reviews as well as some interesting discussion about Frozen in Norway and the attraction as a whole.
As one of his first post's on the forum, S.P.E.W decided to begin a project about a Wonderful Wizard of Oz Resort. While the concept was mostly in blue sky form, it would be fun to see this resort fully realized as a future project.
One of the most popular forms of personal projects on the forum, redesigning Walt Disney World, Disneylover152 shows off his creative abilities with his personal project here. This was one of Disneylover's first projects on the forum and he has grown from these early concepts into the great armchair imagineer he is today!

In Episode 3 of the reboot of the One Sentence Competition Season 2, I had volunteered to host after playing the first two games. In this format, I wanted to mix it up a little bit in terms of reviews and rankings, making it more like the Olympics with a Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal awarded to the top 3 contestants, each medal counting for 3, 2, and 1 points respectively. The final rankings would then be determined by who had the highest total out of all the medals granted. Additionally, there was a bonus award show at the end of the competition, where all contestants got some sort of quirky reward for competing.

Sample Project Disney's Feet and Paws Resort
By @Tony the Tigger
The ever-imaginative Walt Disney Company is getting ahead of the curve on a budding trend in America - bringing the family pet along with the rest of the gang on vacation! Whether you are bringing Fido in the car or taking Fluffy on Amtrak, both your two and four-legged little ones will love the economically-priced Disney Feet & Paws Resort, located just up the road from Disney's Polynesian Resort.
Designed with linoleum flooring and sound-proof walls - plus those famous Disney details like built-in scratch pads, and beds with a solid base (so little travelers can't hide under there when it's time to go - even pets don't want to leave Walt Disney World) and a gift shop with pet food, toys and treats, one building is themed based on the 101 Dalmations animated film (currently celebrating its 10 year anniversary) and the other building is themed to the recently released and very successful Aristocats.
While the upright members of the family are off to the parks, you can leave your pets safely in Disney's on-site kennels and even sign them up for walks, baths, and playtime with other pets, led by qualified trainers and loving pet-sitters. Pick them up on your way back to your room, and feel right at home as you rest easy with your entire clan intact.
While the title may seem like this project is regarding the Tower of Terror redo that took place at Disney California Adventure - this Mission Breakout is actually referring to a concept to take the place of Stitch's Great Escape in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. Magic Feather depicted some great ideas for a replacement of Stitch, which is something that a lot of Disney fans could probably get behind.
With another personal project, Disneylover152 takes a step into the southern hemisphere and tackles his Disneyland Sydney Resort , with an outline of various parks, resorts, attractions, and more that would be included in the complex.
Open Brainstorming Concepts Schoolhouse Rock in Epcot
By @DisneyManOne
One of the most unique brainstorming threads on the forum, DisneyMan decided to pose the question of Schoolhouse Rock being included somehow in Epcot, as an educational component. As he states "Schoolhouse Rock is a series of educational cartoons--so short, in fact, that they fit the length of an average Saturday morning cartoon commercial break. In fact, that's what they were originally produced for in the 70s for ABC. These cartoons taught lessons revolving around five themes--multiplication, grammar, American history/government, science and economics."
Imagineering Competitions A Twist in Time Timeline September 14th, 2016 - November 27th, 2016 @tcool123 is back as the competition host one more time in the inaugural season of A Twist in Time. In this competition, armchair imagineers compete on an individual level and gain points on a leader-board, with the lowest point total each round being eliminated from contention. This process continues until we reach the final round, where the top three contestants join forces with the eliminated cast to form teams and compete in a two week long mega-finale project to bring the competition to a close. With great ingenuity and some newcomers into the mix, this competition was a great success and one of the best Fall season competitions we have had. The Fall in past years tends to be the time of year when most members are busy in school/work compared to the summer season, but A Twist in Time broke that mold and left a great mark on the community.
Showing off his design skills, KingOfEpicocity shared his Epcot in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, with models of Spaceship Earth as well as other pavilions around Future World and towards World Showcase.
Started by Bacon, who sports one of the best usernames on the forum, Walt Disney World 2035 was a personal project about the future of Walt Disney World in the next 15+ years and the changes that he would like to see occur.
Designed similarly to the tv show 'Shark Tank' - armchair imagineers would pitch their concepts to a panel of judges who would then make offers on their concept, to create a back and forth dynamic between creator and buyer like on the show. Example requests from the investors would be for a new roller coaster design for Animal Kingdom, that it needs to be family friendly and indoors in order for them to invest. Highest bidder wins! It's a fun concept that akin to Whose Park, would be fun to see return to form.
Imagineering Competitions Quest for the Diamond Ears
Timeline October 31st, 2016 - November 30th, 2016
Quest for the Diamond Ears was a competition hosted by @Magic Feather in the fall of 2016, and was touted as a more laid back competition with a non-elimination format and team challenges with a S.E.A. theme inspiration. With four teams to start, over the course of one month, the teams were eventually merged into two, with Team Magic ultimately coming out on top in the end!
Final Standings
1- Team Magic: 380 points
2- Team Wonder: 331 points
For Halloween of 2016, tcool took it upon himself to create new seasonal additions to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Organizing the entire concept with maps of locations as seen below, this was a spookacular thread!
As a follow up to the Ratatouille Musical, loucyuk posted a new musical in October 2016 based around Disney/Pixar's Brave. The incredible imagination and musical talent put on display is unlike anything else on the Imagineering Forum

Famous for starting good discussion and debate, mharrington returns with a new concept of deciding where to place his new Disney Resort - asking for advice and feedback along the way, trying to find one of the most realistic places a new Disney Resort could be placed.
Timeline October 31st, 2016 - December 9th, 2016
In Episode 4 of the One Sentence Competition Season 2, the hosting torch was passed to @David2319 who implemented some of his own flavor into the game's dynamic. Continuing the Bronze, Silver, and Gold format to the winners, David expanded the competition to 10 prompts, when the longest it had previously gone was 8 prompts. He also gave out subtle awards such as the Ohana Award during the competition to new members for their efforts or for other projects that didn't make the top 3 but were deserving of recognition. @Pionmycake ended up taking home the most Gold Medals out of the competition - which would lead to him taking the reigns as host for the One Sentence Competition Season 3 Episode 1 in 2017.
Sample Project Méliès Lane by @Pionmycake
-The Backlot Area of the park (around Rock and Rollercoaster) will be transformed into Melies Lane, a celeberation of classic black & White cinema where everything is made to look like sets from Black & White movies (including a gray scale color scheme).
-The Rock and Rollercoaster will be rethemed as "The Modern Times Adventure," a fast paced coaster through the "modern" factory from the classic Charlie Chaplin film, Modern Times.
-The Armageddon Stunt show will be replaced with the "Buster Keaton's Stunt spectacular," a show where actors and actresses recreate some of the most famous and impressive stunts and slapstick acts performed by Buster Keaton and other stars of classic cinema live before your very eyes!
-Lights Motor Action will be replaced by two attractions: "A Trip to the Moon," an omnimover dark ride themed to the incredibly famous silent French sci-fi film of the same name, and "Plane Crazy," a kid coaster themed to the very first Mickey Mouse Short ever made of the same name.
-The Backlot Express quick service restaurant will be replaced with "Cinema Cafe," where guests can eat in a theater playing classic black & White films (both live action and animated) of the silent and early sound eras, sometimes with live musicians playing the music to accompany the silent films.
-For the various holidays, season appropriate films will be shown in the Cinema Cafe and there will be a rotating meet and great with classic cinema characters themed to the season (ex. Nosferatu during Halloween).
-On New Year's Eve, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (portrayed as a Great Gatsby type rich celebrity) hosts a huge, classy, exciting party (think pg version of the party from Great Gatsby) showing off how 1920s Hollywood knew how to party!
As a personal project, Bacon showed several old Disneyland attraction posters with a modern touch to them. All the posters were very impressive, but with a twist, which you'll find out only by going to the link below.
An original brainstorming thread by Brer Oswald, reimagining Fantasyland Dark rides would eventually lead into 2017 and inspire some of the ideas behind other major concepts such as Club 32's Sydney Disneyland - using Brer's ideas for Peter Pan among others in the Fantasyland of that park. Definitely an interesting thread and one that can ever evolve as the years go on.
