I'll be honest, I think La La Land, while fantastic, is a bit overrated. A great movie, but I don't think it should sweep the awards. Then again, I don't think I've seen any of the other nominees lol
I haven't seen it but most of the time when it comes to the Oscars the films that people talk about saying that I need to see, if I do see them, I don't actually like them as much as people say I should haha

Yeah I agree with this.

Personally, La La Land was great for the first 20-30 minutes and the entire rest of the movie dragged, with only the first two musical numbers being memorable IMO.

For anyone curious, if I'm reading my arrival itinerary for the college program right I will be working on the Main Street Ice Cream Shop! This guy will be me! (Well, I'll be significantly less black, but other than that exactly the same lol)

Good luck. My friend just found out she will be in fantasyland working attraction. I don't think she got which attraction yet.
I'll drop by next time I am in the world (hopefully in march)

Oh wow! That sounds like a great time! I love that place. :inlove:

I still got a while for me. I found out about the DCP in 3rd grade and have been planning on it ever since. Still have another two years or so until I'm eligible. But, @IDInstitute and @tcool123, we're still doing it during the 50th, right? ;):p

So the Friday before the cruise Epcot in the afternoon, and HWS in the evening. The Saturday after the cruise the Magic Kingdom. What I mean is I've never stayed at the Yacht & Beach Club -- anything to know before staying at the Yacht (Club)?

There's a hidden mickey on the globe in the lobby (I'll let you find it though!;))

There's also (if they still have it there) a lamp table in the lobby with drawers labeled mickey, minnie, donald, goofy, etc -- sometimes they move it around

If you've never stayed you have to try the Stormalong Bay pool -- best pool on property with the longest slide. It has a lazy river too and is sand bottom!

If you walk up these steps there a small quiet seating area too away from everything if you don't want the noise of the lobby.

Tennis as well! If you like tennis, they have a court in the back corner. Nobody was ever on it (but it was also the summer :p)

Hey thanks! Appreciate it:). It's a beautiful hotel not doubt. I actually have been to the pool with some friends there, but have only been in the lobby of the Beach Club and never have used the amenities there or seen the rooms.

Ah -- yeah it's fun to explore. The quiet pool is actually...quiet :p I mean the Beach Club is too but theirs is out closer to the international gateway. The Yacht Club one is noise blocked by trees and the buildings and hidden in the back corner by the tennis courts

I don't know how much time you intend to spend in the hotel haha but if you're looking for a place to kill time before the cruise or the ride back home, this might be a good spot!

Oh and if you're going to DHS one of the nights -- walk!:bookworm: It's a very relaxing walk from the Yacht Club to DHS. It looks longer than it is. Good exercise and you don't have to wait around for the boat on the way back home.

You get really awesome views of the Tower of Terror too.
The whole Boardwalk/Epcot resort area is so nice! I walked from the Swan to Epcot because the Friendship boat was leaving just as I got there, and it was really nice! Unfortunately it was raining, but on the way back I took my time and walked through the OKW beaches (now featuring fences!)
