Vacationer already posted our teams Restaurant and play area project.

Here is the map of the area.(sorry it's sideways!)
http://forums.wdwmagic.com/album.php?albumid=979&pictureid=13817

Though they are not labled as such, the Nut House is the gift shop featured at the top of the area, and Scrooge's emporium is the larger gift shop at the exit of Mickey's Canoe ride.

Other extras included in the new Camp Minnie Mickey are the CMs who are recast as "Camp Counselers" that lead camp games, sing alongs , and arts and crafts projects for the younger guests.

The new arts and crafts pavillion is near the top of the area, and includes projects that can be made and left in the park, like pinecone bird feeders for the local wildlife, or painted rocks that make a colorful addition to a new outdoor rock garden near the restrooms.

Other new additions include a baby care facility in the restrooms to make the new area even more child friendly, and new character meet and greets to add to the existing ones.
These will be the cuddly forest animal characters from Bambi, the Fox and the Hound, Pocahontas and Brother Bear.

One more neccessary addition...a large warning sign before the Quick Service restaurant area, and outside the Nut House, to warn those with peanut and tree nut allergies of what is in this area.

Thanks guys for getting your projects in on time!

First of all, the shops have so much time and energy behind them, it's so evident that you guys did some quality work. I love the stories behind each project, the ideas were fantastic. The Trading Post is a fantastic idea, but I have issues with the Huey, Dewy, and Louie section. I feel it brings too much "real world" into the project by way of the comic books and regional candies. While it was a good idea, it kind of breaks the fourth wall (less with the candy, but moreso with the Marvel inclusion)

Minnie's Mess Hall was a GREAT idea, and although 3 more food options would have been ideal, the final outcome is great. Love that bug juice!

The nut house is an ingenious idea (great inclusion of Goofy!), as is the PB&J bar, but the amount of nuts in this area is sort of bothering me. Although I know nuts are essential components to the camping life, Disney has sort of a strict policy about having as few nuts as possible in their foods and snacks. I myself am alergic to peanuts, so maybe this is just a personal issue, but with so much airborne peanut, some kids may not be able to go into the area!

The forest trails were very well done, but I wish more detail could have been included. The scavanger hunt was a brilliant idea, but why not make it more high tech, with some sort of magical premise?

This Goofy and Max ride is BRILLIANT! Whoever did this gets a big big big gold star. This is EXACTLY how a flat ride at Disney should be. With the fish and the script and everything, it was pretty fantastic.

The Canoe Adventure is great, but some "gags" were worded in a weird way that was hard to understand. If I DO understand, many of the gags need 2 copies of each character: One before something happens, you turn the corner and something else happens, which I'm not a big fan of.

The idea of the Canoes is fabulous, and the feel of the ride is spot on.

I love how you incorporated Humphry, he's such a great character.

I'm not so sure if the extra Daisy is praticularly necessary, because just seeing her bee-boxes with some flying bees and prehaps a sign saying "Keep Out!", people get it.

The Donald scene is one of those scenes I'm not sure I get. If you see Donald setting up the tent, then 5 seconds later see him tangled up, how does that happen...? Mayhaps if you just see their shadows projected on a rock wall and "see" Donald get tangled up, then see the actual tent as you turn the corner...?

The Pluto scene was SPOT on. I can really see this working in real life!

Goofy's scene was absolutely perfect. I can just imagine hearing the sound and then the hole he's just made!

I feel like Minnie's Picnic would have been better placed at the start of the ride; How's Mickey supposed to enjoy the spread if he's got a campfire to attend in just one more scene?! The Chip 'n' Dale idea is really good, and the way you used Humphry in this scene was perfect.

From the sounds of it, the Uncle Scrooge Scene requires 3 Scrooge AAs in a row, with hardly any "buffer" scenes. Wy not add some fluff with a couple of caverns, some colorful waterfalls, etc? It seems a little rushed.

The finale is cute, a great way to end. The prospect of a nighttime voyage is great too! It seems like it'd be really fun with a bunch of lights (triggered on by a boat's passage), it'd add a lot of layers of fun!

P.S. I wish Ludwig, Clarabelle, Horace, or Mickey's Nephews could have been featured, but the characters that ARE included are done in a GREAT way!

EDIT: Good job with the signs in front of the Peanut areas, and the Camp Counseler idea is great.

Thanks for the comments! Haha I thought of that Pluto scene as I was posting the ride... I was like wait... WHERE'S PLUTO?

BTW, the flat ride was my idea :D

ALL TEAM MEMBERS NEED TO SEND ME A REASONING WHY THEY THINK THEY SHOULD BE IN THE FINAL 2!

I have one from WDWVacationer and Fractal, still need one from Figmntal and Chrony.

Im still waiting on responses from Chronoymous and Figmntal.
And judgings from Disneyson and Hack. Please send by tmrw morning. This is very important. Longer we wait, the shorter the final project will be!
But onto my thoughts! (I must preface by apologizing the shortness of them, but overall it was very well done)
Lets start with the shops. The theming was great, and in particular I liked the Scrooge’s Trading Post, the story behind it was great. And everything needs a story. The nut house was also a great design, I loved the subtleties thoughout.
The quick service restaurant was a good idea, but I would have to say probably the weakest part of the whole project. It has a bit of themeing, but wasn’t too themed. And there didn’t seem to be much of a story behind it. I liked the idea, but it could have been taken a bit farther, to match the level of the other pieces of the project.
The play area was a great idea, it mixes the play areas with interactivity, which Disney Imagineering are doing now. So gone was yesterdays classic winding queues, hello to queueless systems, with interactions with guests. As stated before, the theming was great, and I like the scavenger hunt idea.
Next up, Goofy’s Fishin Trip, at first I thought it was going to be like the new theming coming to Mullholland Madness in DCA, but this is a great idea. I really do enjoy it, and it is a different kind of ride, and story, which was a key component, was good as well.
Finally, Mickey’s Canoe Adventure was a good idea, seemed like a classic Disneyland attraction, but with today’s technology/story standards. The name is a bit weak, but that can be overlooked. I liked the interactivity that the paddles could be used, but don’t have to be (since on a track). I loved the use of Humphrey, but how come no other classic characters (why stick to goofy? He already has a ride) why no Clarabelle? Horace? Or even Daisy’s Nieces, or Mickey’s Nephews?
Overall, you all worked very well together. The intertwining of the teams were great (I wasn’t sure how they’d be). One major thing for me was organization (im an OCD freak). I think the two team leaders should have taken everything and placed it in an orderly fashion (even if in various posts) it should have been a bit easier to read. Also, for team play, it seems timemanagement (from my perspective) wasn’t very good, as many of you were saying “oh I cant do it tonight”, etc. Why not say earlier in the project that you cant do it, etc. (just an observation from me)
--------------------
Still waiting on information from others. I will try to have the newest project up ASAP, but I don’t know, depends on others.

I agree with the teamwork issue being difficult to manage. I also imagine it will be difficult to accurately judge. This is probably the reason so many have commented that Group Projects really should be used sporadically and not constantly for the next Imagineer contest.

Thank Fractal. I totally agree with the group projects, and they definately will be used in a different way next season.

I'm glad you guys liked the Exploration Trails! To adress your concern,Disneyson-I did not want to make it high-tech because I wanted to keep it like a classic summer camp activity area.

The time has come (even though i havent gotten everything yet, but they cant change the outcome)... after a unanimous vote, im sorry to say both WDWVacationer and Figmntal you are eliminated from The Imagineer Season 2, and will not make it to the final leg of the competition. I hope you participate in The Imagineer Presents: The League of Dreamers coming June 2010, and The Imagineer Season 3. Both of you had great ideas, and competed well this season, as well as grew as Imagineers.

That means, Congratulations to Chronoymous and Fractal, you are the final 2 in The Imagineer 2! The finale project will be posted ASAP!

Judges feel free to post comments now! (and public if you wish)

Although I was very busy the past few days, not being able to do so much (story/judging), I have to say that the right people are going on; congratulations to the 2 eliminated people for making it so far on this magical journey, and a great job to the 2 remaining contestants... good luck!
