More importantly, WartHogs should have a 100% pass rate. They can use psychic wizard juju and only allow the students who will pass to get in. Then the students will have nothing to worry about while there because they will know that by being accepted to WartHogs, they are destined to graduate.

No no, you're missing two key points:
  1. Why does a school segregate students based on their personalities?
  2. If psychic powers are established to exist in this universe, Dumbledore could figure out all about Horticulturxes by looking into the future.
Well they aren't actually segregated...they all take classes together and stuff.

And it's more "predictions"...people make predictions so it's not like Dumbledore can just read someone's mind and figure it out.

So we can have this competition
I can explain this! Wizards are big on tradition (They still use inches!) so they haven't changed in hundreds of years, since Hogwarts was founded. Originally, the founders didn't agree on who should go to Hogwarts, so they formed the houses. Godric Gryffindor took the brave and courageous. Salazar Slytherin took the pure bloods. Rowena Ravenclaw took the smart ones. Helga Hufflepuff took the rest (not sure on that one, I'm sure there was a better reason)

Yes!

And then when they feared they were going to die...Godric Gryffindor took off his hat and the four founders put their ideas and motives into the hat...so the hat would sort people into the houses.

This also made it so the students could sway the hat if they wanted to go to a particular house

It's not that simple. Trelawney can tell the future, but she doesn't decide what to see, she just has visions. Seers are also very few and far between.
