5. All Star Sport - I know what you're thinking, but it's actually my favorite pace to stay when I do the RunDisney races. No one cares if look hot and sweaty in my running costume. Whereas if I'm at an upper end resort, I get the strange looks. Also, it's the least crowded of the value resorts.
4. Animal Kingdom Lodge - I love the beauty of this resort. From the fine details in the rooms, the live animals outside, to the music that is heavily reminiscent of Animal Kingdom, this resort ranks near the top. Only down side, the lobby is a little too dark for me.
3. Wilderness Lodge - I remember walking into this hotel when I was little and staring straight up in awe. I told my parents we had to stay here (we were only suppose to stay one night). They immediately asked if we could extend our stay, all based an an awestruck child. (Looking back on it, I can only now appreciate what they did; the cost to stay there is very steep.)
2. Port Orleans Riverside - This is my favorite moderate resort. The relaxing atmosphere with just enough details to give you a sense of the south without it being a gimmick. The food court is one of the best around, keeping with the wide open space needed for guests to maneuver, but not making it seem like a cafeteria.
1. Polynesian - If money were no object, I would stay in this resort for all my future trips. I love the tiki culture, the restaurants, and that it is so close to the Magic Kingdom (monorail!!). The food is excellent and diverse enough for me to enjoy but not where I couldn't get a sandwich if I wanted. I could go to this resort and just sit for a couple of hours to people watch.
