The greatest tv series ever is without doubt ...............

I'm going say All in the Family simply based on how revolutionary it was at the time as well as the fact that it spun off other classic shows such as Maude and The Jeffersons. Oh yeah, and it's the kind of show that would never even get green lit today because it was so controversial.

I remember watching All in the Family years ago, and thinking it was really cutting edge t.v. I highlighted your last comment above because it just now hit me, how (in a sense) we're sort of moving backwards in 2015, not forward, regarding the networks taking any risks.

That is so true and one of the most obvious signs is the fact that in the 30's Rett said to Scarlet... "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damm. There was total shock. Then around the time of all in the family, things changed and that word was hardly the worse one that you would hear on TV. Now 50 years later, if I don't spell it damm, it will be censored. Tell me that isn't a huge step backwards.

No soup for you!!!!!!!

I'm very surprised nobody said Friends!!!!!

How about Emergency
I never once watched Friends when it first aired. I don't know why, I guess I just thought that it really wouldn't appeal to me. I have, however, become addicted to it in reruns, I'll bet that I have seen every episode at least 10 times, if not more. I am starting to get tired of it now. As for "Sign who", I never watched that one either and still don't.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Isn't Friends kind of ... a chick show?

Stargate SG1 - Longest running continuous SciFi series. <3
I loved SG-1, but I preferred Atlantis, simply because McKay was a show regular.

But as much as I liked Stargate, my choice would be Firefly. The greatest (and greatest sci-fi) show I've ever watched. Fox blindly cancelled it after 13 episodes not realising what they had....thanks.

Could be! I can't imagine any male ever being attracted to Jennifer Aniston, Courteney *** and/or Lisa Kudrow. I guess I learned something about myself today. Sixty seven is kinda late to learn that though.:(
Seriously, this computerized censorship is getting beyond annoying. It's someones name, it's not a dirty word unless the person reading it has their mind deep in a gutter. If censorship is going to exist, at least have it checked by a human that can understand the difference between a name or a swear word. Have we not advanced as a society at all?

I didn't watch it much but I always thought Jennifer was the main thing the show had going for it.

I loved McKay and thought his character went through some of the best growth through the series.
