Oh no! I don't know if I could stand to watch that again! I can't believe I ever did!And 'Love and Marriage'! How could we forget that one!
Al Bundy for ride host!
The Roper's were good, but I have to cast my vote for Mr. Furley! If I had a dime for every time he made me laugh so hard my drink came out my nose.....well, I may not be rich, but i'd have some spendin' money! How could we forget that timeless classic: Three's Company? There could be a scene where Jack Tripper is trying to convince Mr. & Mrs. Roper that he is gay, and it is allright for him to be living with Janet & Chrissy.
Aah yes, good 'ole Ralph Furley. That was my favorite Don Knotts character of all time. (Yes, even more than Barney Fife, but he's still a close 2nd).The Roper's were good, but I have to cast my vote for Mr. Furley! I think there should be some kind of special homage to Lucy. She was in one of, if not THE most watched tv shows ever, I Love Lucy, which is still running today in SO MANY countries, as well as The Lucy Show, & The Lucy Desi Comedy Hour. And it was LUCY under DesiLu Studios, who agreed to produced Gene Roddenberry's rehashed idea for Star Trek, but using space ships rather than covered wagons this time, which is presumably why his first pitch was rejected (at least I hope!). It was pretty cutting edge for it's time, and not just because it was a sci-fi series, it had an inter-racial cast. It didn't run for very long (3 seasons) but if it wasn't for Lucy fighting to keep it going, it would've been canceled after the first season. She was an amazing woman and I LOVE watching I Love Lucy! It's one of those shows that is guaranteed to entertain any age, gender, or background.Andy Griffith show, Star Trek, I Love Lucy, Gilligan's Island, Happy Days, Family Matters, Home Improvement, Seinfeld, Friends, Lost, CSI...all of those shows we're huge during their runs. I would expect to see scenes from each one. I can just imagine the Andy Griffith one with Don Knotts as an audio animatronic...classic! And maybe having Scotty beaming Kirk, Spock, and McCoy in the transporter room...that could be a cool effect! Tim hurting himself on his Tool Time set...Steve Urkel knocking something over saying "did I do that?" Ahh so many ideas!
OMG, yes! I used to watch Perfect Strangers! Wasn't Balki a goat or sheep herder? I remember his 'accent' had a dash of New York Jewish! I can't spell it but ya know the sound you have to make in the back of your throat that sounds like you're choking or coughing something up? Or if you say 'la heim' correctly!Aah yes, good 'ole Ralph Furley. That was my favorite Don Knotts character of all time. (Yes, even more than Barney Fife, but he's still a close 2nd).
And does anyone remember the show: Perfect Strangers? It aired back in the 90's(?) during the TGIF lineup. We could include a scene in the ride where Larry & Balki are doing the happy dance.

Now everyone knows that I LOVE LUCY! And I'm proud of it!!
Really? As many times as I've been to Orlando & WDW, I've never been to Universal. I don't know why, but we never really even consider it. I guess because it feels like 'cheating' on Disney! Lol!!There is already a special homage to Lucille Ball. Its just in Universal Studios.
