The Great Fundamentals of Pool Hopping

I just had to open up a new thread to my greatest achievement of the pool hop....

Now I know most of you are clever and have found ways around the different pools much like I have.....

So if any of you out there don't know how to pool hop successfully or might be afraid, here is what I got....

Rule #1: Of course whenever pool hopping, you have to go in thinking you own the place, you should be getting out of the car, or off the bus/boat/monorail in your bathing suit with not a lot of baggage. Basically, you gotta look like crap....

Rule #2: Don't bring your own towels(I'm talking mickey towels, bright colors, beach towels). It's essential that you get the resort towels at the pool you are illegally swimming in. Now, I'm going to give away some freebies in how to obtain them without showing any resort ID!

Freebie #1: Polynesian Volcano Pool, this one is so easy it makes me sick, go get a towel at the towel shack by the pool bar, OH WAIT, there's a CM checking ID's, oh no, we're busted, not for long....... BEFORE you even set foot anywhere near the Volcano pool, FIRST get yourself over to the quiet pool where fresh UNGUARDED towels are waiting!!! Take as many as you like and head over to the Volcano Pool looking of course like you are a current resort guest!

Freebie #2: Stormalong Bay, the Fort Knox of WDW pools. It's impossible to illegally pool hop, NOT THE CASE.....much like the POLY, the quiet pools towel shacks go UNGUARDED.....go figure, so simply do the same thing as you would at the POLY.....have a nice illegal swim.

And of course, just in case you do ever get checked for a resort ID, you say, don't have it on me, all that, that's a no-brainer...I think that whole thing is a myth.....I've pool hopped at every WDW pool, NEVER been carded!!!

Ok, I basically did this for all of you out there, that tell me pool hopping is illegal and that I'm gonna get caught.......hasn't happend yet, and it never will!

I really hope I helped some new pool hoppers today, cause it's simple, don't let the DVC members or anyone else scare you off!!!

Ok, I'm done

You don't have to apologize, I deserved it, I knew what I was gonna get for posting it....and.....I'm sorry I singled you
out........

Well with all these postings about pool-hopping, let's see what Disney security does. Going Thanksgiving week and staying at the Beach Club. I better have a chair Lance:lol:

LOL, haha, no need to worry about me, I'll be home for Thanksgiving!

I won't touch a crowded pool.....

Usually I won't either, but my little one is going to want to go in the pool especially after getting his hands on my computer and viewing Disney (and he's only 5-1/2).

Lance:

If you're taking towels from the quiet areas, aren't you technically stealing? Granted, you may not remove them from the property, but the towels are provided for paying guests, it's a service they pay for, not you.

We saw a couple last August get removed from the Wilderness Lodge pool. The lifeguards asked them to leave when they couldn't produce a room key and when they didn't security arrived. I don't know what happened to them, but I'm glad they were removed. I personally can't stand it when people pool hop -- I don't care if the pool is empty or not. If I pay to stay at a resort and there's no one else from my resort using it, I want to have the pool to myself. Pool hoppers make slide lines longer, pool towel piles smaller, take up the chairs I want, fill up the hot tubs and in the long run, add to my hotel bill and DVC dues because somebody has to cover the cost of the extra towels, clean up, etc. of pool hoppers being there.

I, for one, would probably turn in a pool hopper if I noticed them. Sorry if that upsets you pool hoppers out there, but I pay a fortune to go to Disney while you guys stay cheap and steal the services. It's simply not fair.

No problem, you won't be able to turn me in, you'll never notice I'm there.... and don't attack a pool hopper by using the MONEY card.....The past two years, I've spent $2700 in WDW for the Contemporary and the Polynesian, let me remind you I'm 19, I'm the most loyal WDW customer there is, I go almost everyday, I spend money everyday, whether it be in an arcade or for an ice cream, I'm a fanatic, and it's gonna end up being the end of me, cause I'm a student and I don't have a lot of money, I have a sickness, it's called WDW.

I've got the same sickness, Lance. I'm there as often as I can be and when I'm not there, I'm dreaming of being there. I was engaged there, married there and someday, I hope to live nearby and work there. But no matter how much you spend to stay at the Contemporary or the Poly, you DID NOT PAY FOR THE RIGHT TO USE A POOL AT ANOTHER RESORT. As a DVC member, I did. I have the right, you don't. Your age, how much you spend, or how much you love Disney, doesn't change the fact that you don't have the right to use a pool at a resort you aren't staying at (unless you are a DVC member, and even then there are restrictions).

And given the responses I've seen by the people who do pool hop on several threads here, I think I'm going to contact the DVC and start a campaign among DVC owners that, since we have to pay for the pools upkeep, we'd like to request that all DVC pools have someone to check IDs. I don't want to pay for you!
