Is there any reason that DCA couldn’t run Muppetvision during seasonal events like they do with Soarin Over California during Food n Wine?

Are the AAs still there? Maybe they are still there behind those curtains? I wonder if the penguin canon is still there.

As far as I know they re all still there. Would there have been any reason to remove them for Philharmagic? Non that I can think of.

All the props and such were removed completely as far as I remember, so I can't imagine they would have left anything in the theater itself. Besides its been closed for 10 years, anything that would have been left would be in rough shape and likely would require full replacement anyways.

But why would they be removed? For what purpose? They weren’t in the way of anything or those spaces didn’t need to be utilized for Philharmagic did they?

Remember that the space before Phil's was installed was utilized for the First Time in Forever Anna and Else stage show for like 16 months after Muppets closed. So they needed the whole stage for that as I recall. And then they used it for movie previews after that until Phil's was installed.

So everything would have been removed I'd have to assume. Now obviously we have no actual confirmation of that, but it makes sense.

Oh ok that makes more sense now. That’s too bad if true. Not that I was ever a huge fan of Muppetvision but having the option to bring it back seasonally (while still possible much less feasible) would have been cool for fans of the show especially considering that it’s gone at DHS.

Maybe the AA parts could popup in a picture in picture? I'm sure they could find someone to walk around as Sweetums. If I were to bring Muppetvision back, I'd replace Waldo and Mickey with a higher rez versions.

Balconies were unused...somebody on here posted that a Disney archivist told them the animatronics in the balconies were still up there.

Hey if any of you are near the Atlanta, Ga area or are going through Atlanta on the way to WDW (and have enough time to spare), you might want to check out the Center For Puppetry Arts. They had a really good Jim Henson exhibit with a lot of the Muppets used in film, etc. The last time I went was well before the pandemic of 2020, so it might have changed some.

They do rotating exhibits so that is long gone by now but maybe they will return in the future.
