Hot take maybe, but muppet Christmas carol is the best version of that story in my opinion. And Michael caine should have won an Oscar for his scrooge. He was fantastic.

I also watch a Muppet family Christmas. That's my all time favorite Christmas special. The music is great, it's very very funny, and you get Muppets, fraggles and sesame Street.

That's a hard one for me picking a #1 favorite, but Muppets is definitely top-tier in adaptations for that beloved story. Caine was brilliant.

Another good musical version is the 1970 musical "Scrooge" with Albert Finney playing Ebenezer.
That one has the best ending (imo) with the catchy showtune "Thank You Very Much".


I'd probably have to rank Scrooge and Muppets as a tie overall, and Caine as the best portrayal of Ebenezer.

I love seeing Jim Henson doing the dishes at the end.

The two John Denver Muppet specials are also required viewing this season. There is some good and pure about them.

We love Scrooge the musical. Ben Kenobi is very scary in it. ;)

Up until the muppets, that was our favorite. It's still a classic

Just watched that a couple nights ago. We also have to watch Emmett otters jugband Christmas.
