Also those coin op massage chairs too...Those were nice...
my friend works in recreation and always thought it was dumb when they got rid of the arcade. That arcade generated over a million a year in revenue and they went and got rid of it for the kid's area. As a result, revenue numbers for recreation overall were down and thus they are now reversing course. At least this management team can admit a mistake, unlike the ones who decided to close Pleasure Island, but I digress....

Except that isn’t the history of their childcare centers at all.
It’s a sunk cost...a “loss leader”. They throw a hissy if it isn’t fully booked like a character meal

The arcade was removed and turned into Trader Sam's Grog Grotto.

From a human factors perspective, I would prefer to see Fantasia removed, reimagined in its former location, and the space of the Grand Canyon Concourse reimagined with more seating. During the holidays, with the gingerbread display and monorail security, the positioning of Fantasia affects guest movement.
Florida had a weird law passed in 2013 that basically outlawed many typical arcade games as part of a state-wide crackdown on gambling efforts. This led to the closure of all the prize redemption counters and made arcades tricky legally. This left places like Disney, and larger more arcade-focused chains like Chuck E. Cheese and Dave & Busters, in really troubled waters. The legislature somewhat amended the law a few years later but not before some damage was done to Disney's arcade portfolio and much of the fun had been sucked out.

These are a bit tough because they are baked-in costs to accommodations and park tickets, respectively, but I understand your point.
Magical Express is already included whether you use it or not, so it's hard to decipher how much extra revenue DIS might be making by taking on the cost of transportation from MCO and back.
Sorcerers, I've never played, so I'm not sure, but does it incentivize or attract other purchases? You're already in the park, so the only way I could see it being a loss leader in the traditional sense would be if it entices players to spend more $$$. Possibly by better engagement, and longer time spent in the park?
This, however, may be. But unless someone has seen the actual numbers for what the revenue from registration vs the cost to produce the event, we can't be certain.
Anecdotally, my father is a runner and he went to do the marathon once, and I think they went to the parks one day out of 4. So at least for him, the marathon was an enticement to spend $$$ he would not have otherwise.
I wonder if all the cheerleading and youth sports are loss leaders? I could see that being the case. Those events bring a lot of bodies to the swamp.

I suppose...that is the likely reason they don’t have more of them. But it’s sti a pretty profitable “loss break evener”
