The Future or Stitches Great Escape???

Personally, I hope AE doesn't come back in any form to the Magic Kingdom. In my own biased view, it's too good for Tomorrowland right now. And I actually think it's too good for the Magic Kingdom's new direction as well. AE would stick out as a sore thumb of originality and adult pleasing entertainment.

As far as SGE goes, I can only hope that it does go away soon. Anything besides a meet and greet, shop, or Turtle Talk/Monsters Inc clone would be an improvement. And before you say they wouldn't put an attraction similar to Monsters Inc right beside of it, would you REALLY put it past Disney right now? I didn't think so

c) SGE is the kid-friendly attraction, if you believe management.

According to CM's that I talked to last year at WDW, the attraction failed on this front as well. One said it didn't generate as many complaints as AE did (to be expected), but that it had its fair share of crying kids coming into Merchant of Venus/Star Traders.

while i think that stitch is a poor ride
Drew Carey's ride takes the case for the worse ride ever created.
Sitting in the dark for 20 mins listening to him drop things is not fun.

Stitch could've been better, the pre show is actually fine
i would've rather had a peter pan esque ride where you fly around the movie plot.

Or a new Tiki Room show wouldn't have been a bad idea. They aren't going to bring the original show (which is a delight at Disneyland) back, so why not put Lilo and Stitch in there and create a show that would fit theme wise and would give people a reason to see the Tropical Serenade again.

Let's drop Stitch from Tomorrowland (where he doesn't really fit anyway) and replace SGE with a Meet the Robinsons ride/show/lab. I loved the movie and think it deserves to be in Tomorrowland.

As for the crying children--I had one next to me that started screaming when the restraints came down, managed to wriggle out of hers, and spent the entire ride in hysterics. Her "resident adult" was locked down by the harness and could do nothing except try to hold her hand and tell her incessantly that everything would be okay.

It was at least a decent attraction, I wouldn't mind it. At least it would be a big improvement over what is there now.

I actually enjoyed the orriginal. I wouldnt mind seing something like it at DHS with an Alien creature (from the Alien movies). You could be sitting in the dark and hear face huggers crawling around on the floor....then the Alien creature walking around dripping slime slobber on you....now that would be cool.

There's no doubt in my mind that an AE style attraction could be repeated with a great deal of success. Of course it wouldn't have as original of a storyline (or probably as good of one) as AE, but it could be more successful if put in the right place at the right time. Evidently Disney gave the average theme park goer too much credit when it comes to reading comprehension and AE didn't last as long as it should have. Maybe if they use bullhorns and flashing strobe lights people will get the warning messages in the future

No matter what Disney does, its not going to keep people with health conditions off of potentially dangerous (for them) rides.....or people who just want light hearted fun off of attractions like AE.

Exactly. But I was just talking about parents taking their kids on attractions that aren't made for them. And then having the nerve to complain about their own stupidity.

I remember at least AE had a line while whenever I see SGE lines it usually is 5 minute wait to no wait at all.I hope that the big wigs notice this and whether they would bring back AE or not I hope they put something in there that draws the crowds back to that ride as it once was.

I am not a fan of SGE - really was expecting more as I am a Stitch fan - but I will have to say that the ONLY time I EVER saw a line for AE was right after it opened. Within a few months it was always walk on when I was there.

You've got to be kidding me. That was a pretty intense flick, regardless of the PG-13 rating. Sometimes it take a little research, but you've got to know when a film is going to be TOTALLY unacceptable for kids that young.

Not hardly. Up to 30-45 minute waits were the norm in the summer up to about 4 or 5 years after opening. There's no comparison between wait times of AE and SGE. Doesn't mean SGE is less popular among guests, but it isn't generating comparable lines. You can take any and all biased away from that one.

And even before closing, AE had no smaller crowds than SGE has had over the past year or so. At least, that's what I've seen from picture updates from the parks and discussions with CM's AT the parks.

That makes no sense.... especially coming from someone who is obviously a huge AE fan. You loved the attraction, yet you don't want to see it return because you think it would be too good for the park? If you like it so much, why wouldn't you want to see it return? That's like saying you WANT Tomorrowland to stay bad. Remember, the only way for Tomorrowland to improve is to fill it with original and pleasing attractions.

Tomorrowland isn't very big, so all it would take is the addition of about 2 pleasurable attractions to make it a great land again. Space Mountain is already there, and is a guest favorite. Buzz Lightyear is a decent attraction. The main weaknesses of Tomorrowland are SGE and MILF- neither of which fit with the theme of TL. If they could replace those 2 attractions with good ones, suddenly we will be talking about how great TL is! Bringing back AE would be a good start IMO, even if I would much rather see a brand spanking new attraction instead of a retread. Personally, I wasn't a HUGE fan of AE, but it was lightyears better than SGE (and also much better than Mission to Mars from back in the old days).

Did you get this info from a reliable source? Or is this just speculation? The only Incredibles rumors I've heard had it being built either in COP's place or in the plot where that ampitheater currently sits.

Funny, we had a 90 minute wait all day the past week.

And honestly, guests really like it.

It gets very little negative feedback, trust me.

Research places all survey results for each day in our breakroom.

SGE generally gets nothing below a 7 (out of 10).

But whatev... as long as the super critical overhyped purists are happy...

Expert, I have been trying to tell them all that for the past year, but they have it in their heads that "everybody" hates Stitch's Great Escape. You know the truth, I know the truth, and that's about as far as it goes...
