The Ending

Is it just me or did it seem like the ending of the Cheeta Girls 2 was very similar to the ending of High School Musical. They both ended with a big finale song (that included almost everybody from the movie). Then, on both movies, they go through lines at the end as the credits started to go up. Does anybody think that it ends really similar?

Well, the director of Cheetah Girls 2 was the same one who directed High School Musical. I'm sure the similarity you noticed was no coincidence! :)

That is what I thought right when I saw it. They probably wanted for it to be as popular as High School Musical so they probably tried to add in several similarities.

I just watched it again last night and figured out that it has basically the same story line as High School Musical. They enter the singing competition (they try out for the musical), Somebody tries to split them up and get rid of them (all of their friends at school try to stop them from being in the musical), One of the main characters gets upset so she quits (one of the main two thinks that the other doesn't care for her so she quits trying out) They get back together (they get back together), they can't sing because they got payed (the callbacks were moved to a different day and it would be hard for them to perform), They find a way to get to sing (they find a way to get to sing), Big finally with a song about friendship (big finally with a song about friendship) and then them going down through the audience/through the line like I already mentioned.
did anybody else notice this?

Oh, also I noticed that one of the Cheeta Girls (I'm not sure of her name but she is the one whose mom gets engaged) hair keeps changing in one scene. It was kind of funny (and yes, I know that it was just a mistake)! It was the scene where they are in the airport when Galleria is about to leave. When they are in their pajamas (the other three). When the one goes up to Galleria and starts singing/talking, her hair keeps flipping from the front to the back whenever the camera shot moves.

Oh, and also (this is probably just a coincident) but the one who quits/leaves name is Galleria and in High School Musical, it is Gabriella. That probably doesn't mean anything though because the Cheeta Girls is based on a book and the names from the first are the same in the second (duh).

It's true, there are a lot of similarities. Cheetah girls is in itself technically a musical, although they do not call it that. So technically, High School Musical was not the first. The girl with the hair, Adrianne Bailon's character, is named Channelle I believe, sometimes nicknamed "Choochi." I haven't noticed that mistake, but I'll try to look for it next time it is on. Also, another similarity is that Ashlee Tisdale's character tries to steal the spot light and sing in the competition, just like Marisol in Cheetah Girls 2. But in the end they end up accepting each other and becomes friends.
