Just got back from seeing it, and it was great! I just can't stop saying that it was a great movie. Amy Adams should get an oscar nomination because she really carried the character perfectly. It was also nice to see some hand drawn animation in a Disney movie again! Also, I loved some of the tie ins from other Disney movies, like they are in the office building and you can hear "Part of their world" playing as background music. Can't wait to see it again and get the soundtrack!:sohappy:

There are some great Disney tie-ins and gags in the film!

***Cameos
Paige O'Hara-voice of Belle
Judy Kuhn-singing voice of Pocahontas
Jodi Benson singing and the speaking voice of Ariel
...plus more

Also, listen for Little Mermaid Music, Beauty and the Beast music etc.

And some shots in the movie are memorable recreations from other films ie Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella etc.

It's a great film...Disney has got to be proud. (Obviously...they converted the front 1/2 of the local Disney Store to Enchanted!)

7 of us went last night! It was an interesting group. First of all, everyone liked it. My daughter and I are Disney nuts, and we LOVED it. Loved it Loved it Loved it! All of the gags and references made us want to see it again just to catch it all. My 14 year old son said that it was OK, but that he wanted more action. My 40 old year old younger brother said that it was fun, and was "typical Disney". My 11 year old Niece liked it very much, which makes sense since I figure she is the target audience. My wife enjoyed it too, but not nearly as much as my daughter and I did.

I couldn't figure out why everyone wasn't as enthusiastic as I was. Then I got it...........They didn't get that it was ribbing the fairy tails from earlier films. They thought it was a straight fantasy. I hope that Disney isn't going for too many inside jokes.

I thought the cleaning scene was one of the funniest sequences that I have ever seen.

My daughter (18) is going again with her college friends tomorrow. She has the added thrill of seeing one of her biggest idols, Idina Menzel, in a supporting role.

A classic? No, but a really fun and well made film. Disney should be really proud of it.

Loved all the cameo's and recreations. Was it me or was the suit Patrick Dempsey wore at the ball the same as the Beast's? It really made me think of it. :)

Also, the italian restaurant they go to is called "Bella Note" :)

Great movie guys. Seriously. I work at a movie theatre and saw it the night before it came out. Didn't start watching it til midnight, didn't end until two. It was totally worth it. Thanks Disney!!!

Another vote here for it being a fantastic movie. Genuinely made me laugh out loud, and not just because I wanted to like it. There is a lot of different stuff in the movie that should entertain all sorts of different tastes. Heck, it even put my overly moody senior-in-high-school sister-in-law in a good mood.

Saw it yesterday with my Mom (81), my sister (52), niece (14 going on 35) and my two daughters (4 and 2) and we ALL loved it!! It became a game to see what kind of references to other Disney things we could find. Dh and I thought that the park scene was just loaded with references to Epcot - right down to the costumes from the countries! My girls already have Giselle shirts (we had bought them during a Black Friday sale at the Disney store and gave them to the girls after the movie - they loved them so much they slept in them and cried when I took them off this morning!). Somehow I feel that we will be seeing this one again! And I agree - Amy Adams made that movie - she was perfect!!!

I totally didn't catch that! Now that I think of it, the whole sequence seemed reminiscent of the Tapestry of Nations! Not that I ever saw it in person. :(

just saw it last night. first movie in awhile where you could look around the theater and see such a wide range of people. it was awesome!! one of those movies where you could hear the people around you saying things like "oh no!" when things happen to the little chipmunk Pip. People, including me were enthralled by the whole movie. Amy Adams was perfect, along with James Marsden and Susan Sarandon. I had the songs in my head the rest of the evening.
I think what i liked best was that it paid tribute to and poked fun at the classic princess movies, but by the end, there we all were wrapped up in one. it was so romantic (and McDreamy didn't hurt:animwink:) great job, Disney!!
