Hey, I mean it does its purpose. It intices consumers to buy the product. Other products may be humorous or touching, but the message never really ties in with what the product is all about. Here's the full commercial

What I mean is that commercial is not a superbowl worthy commercial. You can show that at any point of the year at it would do its job to sell. If you ask anyone tomorrow what was a great superbowl commercial no one would mention the Nintendo commercial.

Yeah I agree, super bowl commercials take on almost a different purpose. They are the entertainment to get non football fans like myself through the game, while you watch with other fans of the game.
