The Downtown Disney Thread

Kind of makes me wonder who Disney is catering to here? Maybe the group of young adult friends where everyone is paying for themselves? Definitely not families. I’m not paying $100 -$150 for a quick service chicken sandwich meal. I’ll spend that on a sit down meal where I can be served and relax.
The setup reminds me of a college dining hall. So yeah, I think it's geared at young 20-35-somethings meeting at the park.

There’s a handful of tables around the corner in front of D-Lander and Avengers Reserve, but not nearly enough to supplement the need + will only get more busy when the new Earl of Sandwich opens in the back of that green space.

Interesting. I guess I just assumed this food hall would have a ton of seating. I’m realizing now it’s part of what I was looking forward to — a low-stakes place in DTD to just sort of hang out.

Yeah I think the $12 lemonade is what throws things off. $13–16 for a good quality burger or chicken sandwich isn’t bad. Take out the lemonade, share two fries instead of 4 and it’s about what I’d expect for a quick service meal at DTD.
Just FYI, its $12 for a Frozen Lemonade, not a regular lemonade. I know that doesn't make it better, but its at least a bit more reasonable when you're considering its a frozen drink rather than a fountain drink.

If that is still too much, go next door to Seoul Sister where they have $5 Yuja Lemonade.

I just checked for fun, and a burger at Galactic Grill costs between $13-16. I think this price is about what I would expect given the cost of things throughout the resort and that it's a bit more elevated (it's close to LA pricing, depressingly enough).

I'm also probably not going to get food here, but the pricing isn't that surprising.
But the burgers at Galactic Grill include fries, and they’re still $1.50 cheaper. If the chicken included fries, I think it would be much more comparable.

Oh he said Galactic Grill. I assumed he said Black Tap since we we were talking about DTD. Although I should have known since those burgers are more in the $20 range IIRC and I believe they come with fries.
