Actually, yes, 13 are necessary, considering most are small specialty places. There are really on like 5 major restaurants. The rest are small places that have low capacity. So, actually when you tihnk about it, this is a very nice amount. Plus, who says they are all going to continually be around forever ;). - The WeirdOne :D

The Hub Rendering...

Here's A Rendering of the hub! ENJOY! Also, this will be the only rendering of the hub. The parade route will not go down Main Street, but make a circle around the hub from Frontierland to Fantasyland. YEAH! Okay, everything is labeled. Please leave comments. - The WeirdOne :D

I am slightly confused, is Royal Street the street acrossed from Edison Square? If so how does the hub spoke connect to the street it seems like it woudl be a rather sharp turn.

Also I am assuming then that Critter Country and ToonTown are not off of the hub, personally if I was opening the park with them I would keep them off of the hub, ToonTown esspecially as the tie is really not as strong to Fantasyland as Critter Country is to Frontierland

Well, let me put it this way. Center Street is the street that cut Main Street U.S.A. in the middle. Royal Street run perpendicular to that. So it looks like this:

R
O
Y
A
L
***CENTER STREET****EDISON SQUARE***
S
T
R
E
E
T

I hope that makes sense. If you need more clarity, just say so.

Second, the GCLC has dropped Critter Country just as construction was starting. It will be merely used as a small subland in Frontierland. Critter Country is being replaced by "Discovery Bay" set to open about a year late and is currently being planned in WDI ;). Toontown will definately not be off the hub. Any other questions. BTW - My Tomorrowland will be so great (but not on opening day ;)). - The WeirdOne :D

Dang, this park seams to keep getting better, if only i had the artist skills on my computer to make this work. oh well. time to look for a nother location for my new disney experacne park complex.

Discovery Bay, eh???

That sounds oddly familar, now where have I heard of that before ??? ;)

Anyways, ya Critter Country could work fine as a subland, personally though I've always thought it's been quite underdevelopt given it's potential, being themed to Animials and the South/Backwoods area. Anyways, I am right in assuming that ToonTown will be off Fantasyland?

And Yes I do get Royal Street now, I really like that name too, random idea which you may have alrady thought of or in some other fasion, would to have a restuatnrt there where it is Marti Gras every day, it could be called something like Marty Graw's Cafe. Anyways just a thought.

The only thing still bothering me though is Center Street physically it's fine, but you seem to have too many "street"s in conjucture with each other, there are other names you could use, Avenue, Blvd. ect. just so the naming does not sound over repetitive. Center is kinda bothering me to as it is not in the exact center of your park, or so it would seem, and it just appears that some how tying it into Adventure land since that is where it goes would be more approptirate, like Imperial Avenue, or Exotic Blvd.

I've just thought of somthing. Since you're making a Snow White Castle, which one will it be? The Snow White movie has two castles: The evil queen's casle and Price Charming's castle. The queen's castle is seen the most, but it wouldn't be very cheerful to see. The prince's castle would be nice, but it only lasts in the movie for about 20 seconds. Nice job. Can we hear about Tomorrowland now?

Okay, thanks for the words. Toontown will be off of Fantasyland. I will have a stage show instead of a restaurant, but you'd never know. It's called "Mickey's Adventureland Mardi Gras". Yes, many streets. I know. I'm thinking of changing Center Street to Edison Avenue on one half and Marceline Boulevard on the other, because I don't want to loose the Main Street theme. Or I could just have it as Marceline Boulevard the whole route? Or Edison Avenue the whole route? Any suggestions? Oh, BTW, parades will not run down Main Street U.S.A. Just thought to remind everyone :).

And as for the castle. Almost forgot. But, it will be Prince Charming's castle, except not exactly like it looks in the movie. It will be on a rock like the movie, but French style like Disneyland Paris' castle and gothic at the same time like Tokyo Disneyland/Magic Kingdom's castle. Get it? Sortof? As for Tomorrowland, I'm finishing up work on the final ride list. It'll be up hopefully tomorrow. - The WeirdOne :D

Well that is why I suggested Imperial Avenue, Imperialism is a big theme of the Jungle Cruise really, and several other attractions, and it was happening around the same time period that Main Street type society was too, it woudl be cool I think to blend Main Street into a Imperial/Colonial African Street.

Tomorrowland Press Release

Here's the press release that came out of Australia today regarding a sneak peak into Tomorrowland. Amazing stuff.

Disney Imagineers Provide First Look at Tomorrowland Inside the Magic Kingdom.

-- Magic Kingdom Park will feature Disney’s famous Tomorrowland with a retro new look and feel for Tomorrowland –

GOLD COAST (January 20th, 2010) – Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) executives unveiled today the creative design and stories behind Tomorrowland inside the theme park destination resort planned for the Gold Coast. The press briefing is the second in a series where Disney will unveil the creative design for the Down Under Resort targeted to open on March 15th, 2013.

The Down Under Resort will be the sixth Disney resort in the world and the first to combine the greatest ideas from every resort. It will be made up of themed lands evoking their own unique spirit of fantasy, excitement and adventure. Disney Imagineers, Brian DeLoera, vice president and executive producer in charge of the Down Under Resort and Mr. Jake, executive designer in charge of imagineering the Magic Kingdom, revealed several conceptual renderings and storyboards from a futuristic spaceport that will be part of the Magic Kingdom experience.

Tomorrowland

From the moment you pass the giant rock fountains at the entrance, to the moment that you exit the land, you will be immersed into the land of Tomorrow and everything it has to offer.

WDI has commisioned several rides for opening day. Tomorrowland is being funded by the Walt Disney Company. First up is "The Visionarium". An amazing 360 degree circlevision show where our robotic host, the Timekeeper and his assistant Nine-Eye travel into the past and future and even pick up Jules Verne along the way.

Next up is "Star Tours", where you can catch the classic ride famous around the world and travel aboard to a distant planet encountering the dark side along the way. If you are tired, hop aboard the "PeopleMover" which travel over and around Tomorrowland. Coast thru the various attractions and catch sneak peeks on this 20 minute journey. PeopleMover too slow? How about the "Rocket Jets"? Soar over Tomorrowland on these jets right above the peoplemover.

Don't want land transportation, take the "Space Mountain". Blast off thru the Columbiad cannon on the side. At the top, you blast right into space headed straight towards the moon. With 4 inversions, this is sure to be a blast! Literally! After you get off, walk right on over to "Light Speed Photography" and get your photo printed.

Want to coast thru the sea, then head over to the "Mysteries Of The Nautilus", a submarine ride through the lagoon near "Space Mountain". As you coast thru the giant caverns and encouter a squid, enjoy the realistic Victorian setting.

Want to drive, then move yourself right over to "Autopia", a fantastic journey through a futuristic race car track. Sponsored by Chevrolet, this ride is sure to get the adrenaline going whne you round those curves watching "Space Mountain" blast off every so often.

Want to play some games, head over to the "Omega Arcade" on the side of the "Visionarium" by the rock fountains, or to the "Starcade" by "Space Mountain". Play wonderful games for only $1. After a long round of games, head over to the "Flying Saucers" and take a ride thru the amazing world of aliens. As you hover outside in these futuristic vehicles, make sure to wave to any people stnading in the line.

Want to go to Main Street U.S.A? Then hop aboard the "Tomorrowland Station" of the "Magic Kingdom Railroad" and head straight to Main Street U.S.A. Still want to travel, then head over to "DreamFlight!" and ride the wave of the future in airline travel. Go around as you tour Paris, Tokyo, and into the future on this amazing OmniMover attraction.

Still don't have enough space? Then rocket on over to the "Rocket to the Moon" attraction and head for the moon if you're too scared to ride "Space Mountain". This motion simulator is a family favorite that is sure to crack a smile when you see Mr. Johnson.

Looking into the future? Then ride the "Carousel Of Progress" brought straight over from Florida in it's original form in the "Carousel Of Progress Theater". Join our family as we travel thru the 1900's and straight into the future. And remember, it's a great big beautiful tomorrow...

"House Of The Future" is always open for a tour thru the house of tomorrow. See what our homes will look like in many many years and enjoy the day of the typical family in the future. Want more to look at, then look up at the wonderful "Mary Blair Murals" reproduced straight from Disneyland. They remind you of "It's A Small World", well, they should because they are from the straight from the same Imagineer.

Go to "Showbase 3000" and catch "Mickey's Space Fantasy". A wonderfully made stage show about Mickey in space featuring Star Wars and the original Tomorrowland song, "Tomorrow!" I's sure to be a blast.

If you've had enough rides and you are hungry, go grab a bite to eat at the many futuristic diners and eateries that are themed and serve wonderful American and Australian dishes. Places include the inexpensive like "Pan Galactic Pizza Port" to the extra expensive with "Café Of The Visionaries" and the "Rocket Café". If you want a great place for kids, try the "Astronomer's Club", which is also part of Main Street U.S.A. or the "Tomorrowland Terrace".

If you want to shop around, there's plenty of places to shop around Tomorrowland. Some of the great places include "Constellations", "ImageWorks", which features a place to take your photos and place them on a futuristic background. If you want candy, go to the "Stellar Sweets". Want stuff made for visionaries, try the "Visionary Shop". Plenty of places to go and shop. Many shops even include the famous "Pin Trading!" Trade pins with all your buddies and even cast members.

The Down Under Resort project was announced in November 2009 as a venture between The Walt Disney Company and the GCLC. Currently under reclamation by the GCLC, Disney is targeted to begin construction in early 2010 with the project scheduled to open in March 15th, 2013. The opening day program for the Down Under Resort will include a 15 million annual visitor Disneyland-style theme park, three hotels and retail, dining and entertainment uses. The project is estimated to create 25,000 new jobs at opening both Disney and other employment, growing to 40,000 once the first park reaches build-out. At the completion of Phase I, the project will include a 15 million annual visitor Disneyland-style theme park, 3,500 hotel rooms, and a giant district of retail, dining and entertainment.

*****

WOW! Really lackluster, right? Well what do you expect with the Walt Disney Company funding it. I'm sure much of this will get cut due to the fact the Eisner can do nothing but that. Here's the sad fact sheet. Hopefully the GCLC will do something about this.

Really lackluster. No offence, but I think you're concentrating too much on making this sound like a real inacurate news paper article. Just get the point across and we'll understand.

No, it's accurate. I'm sure of it. That's the truth of the article. This is going to be a cheesy, slander, white, 80's looking Tomorrowland. Nothing special at all, that's why I made this article as lackluster to reflect the way the land is. And I did get the point across. LOL! - The WeirdOne :D

That's awful! Plain white is very boring and not very creative. Not to mention, IT LOOKS TOO DATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No offence, but this is the least creative Tomorrowland I have ever heard of. If you wanna make a cheesy version of the futer, build it somwhere else.

Here comes an unnoffical press release from the Gold Coast Sentinel. SOME IMPORTANT NEWS!

Reports leaking out of Australia from the GCLC about Tomorrowland.

– Magic Kingdom Park will feature bland and retired look for Tomorrowland –

GOLD COAST (January 21st, 2010) – Reports currently leaking out of the main offices of the Gold Coast Land Company are revealing extreme dissatisfaction with the current Tomorrowland that is going up. So far, only the entrance is rising, but the GCLC is complaining about the retired and dated look of Tomorrowland.

Rumors currently flying around the site report that as soon as 5 - 10 years, the GCLC plans to remodel the dated, underfunded, and cloned Tomorrowland with an innovative new Tomorrowland costing in upwards of 1 billion dollars out of the GCLC's pockets.

Brian DeLoera, vice president and executive producer in charge of the Down Under Resort said today in a press conference, "The GCLC and The Down Under Resort have no such plans and we are pleased with Disney's funding of their Tomorrowland. We want this to be an amazing place for people of all ages."

Although the current rumors that are leaking from the Gold Coast again state that it could take place in 5 to 10 years, but this is a short time away in the life of an amusement park. The new plans include a new Tomorrowland getaway alien hotspot featuring a new parade to go along. Other plans flying around report things like tearing the whole place out or replacing it with a rural vision of the future.

Some attraction ideas being tossed around are a Space Mountain update where rider would be hurled into a more Victorian style showbuilding with an actual show inside and not a bland white dome. Other ideas include Alien Encounter, a hip new ride that is sure to scare the pants off of any rider. Other ideas include a second story to the buildings and even some new stages for shows.

Currnetly, all rumors are being denied and the Walt Disney Company is not responding well. They seem to have halted the construction as the rest of the resort progresses ahead. Although nothing is really beyong 2 stories high, Main Street U.S.A is the furthest ahead with the buildings roofed and walled. Expect a March 15th, 2013 opening without any delays.

Well, that was some interesting news out of the Gold Coast. I wonder how Tomorrowland will progress now. I personally can't wait to see what happens now that there is a struggle. I'm sure the plans will continue on as normal. - The WeirdOne :D

And the Walt Disney Company has released a press release in regards to the rumors with some major changes planned.

Walt Disney Company Remodels Tomorrowland Quickly.

– Magic Kingdom Park will get a remodeled and modern Tomorrowland due to complaints. –

GOLD COAST (January 22nd, 2010) – The Walt Disney Company today released a statement regarding their decision on the bland, white, dated Tomorrowland. They have seen that the GCLC is not liking the idea, so they have decieded last minute to remodel the exteriors of the attractions to feature a more modern and spacey look.

Space Moutnain will get a gold/green exterior and there will be no more white, but a color changing show building. The new façades will feature exteriors similar to the other Tomorrowland currently in operation at the other parks.

Brian DeLoera, vice president and executive producer in charge of the Down Under Resort said today in the press conference, "I am happy with the change and it will be a great improvement to see Tomorrowland looking similar to the currently great looking Tomorrowlands in other resorts."

Disney is halting construction for about 3 months to do a redesign of the exteriors, but building set up and other construction will continue on as planned to get the place open on the expected date of March 15, 2003.

WELL! That certainly sounds so positive coming from the Walt Disney Company. I'm going to have some layouts hopefully by Friday. So, be on the lookout for those. - The WeirdOne :D

uuuuhhhhhh WeirdOne? I have a question. I know this is a bit off task, but remember when we were talking about the Tomorrowland changes in Tokyo? What are they going to do with the old Show Base Theater 2000? Do you know? Just curiouse.:D
