We just gonna ignore the sign is totally shaped like male genitals or what

For me this was the most shocking revelation.

Oh I don't know. Disney does have a certain history ...

I know this next one is a fleeting out-of-context still, but still ...

That Minnie image turns out to be hard to pin down. The main clue to follow is the word "Bladid" in the image, which doesn't seem to translate to anything real, and may be part of a longer title. I found a couple of claims that it was a promotional image for some old Euro Disney something-or-other, and it may be a made-up promotional word like "Fantasmic," that won't match a translation search, but I couldn't fight my way out of a loop of sites quoting each other as sources without providing an actual source. Here's a quote from one such:

How can anyone deny the naughtiness in this photo? “Mickey Mouse: Bladid” is one of the more popular images circulating on the internet of Disney allegedly trying to slip male genitalia into their advertising. While the cover art is real, it’s a challenge to find out exactly what the ad was for other than it was some sort of product from Euro-Disney.

There are a jillion of these, often less responsible, Disney expose kinds of sites, all hawking some kind of titillation connection. It's either "can you believe Disney tries to get away with this stuff, or much less often "can you believe people really think Disney is trying to get away this this stuff."

But to the extent that some of it is probably real, like this DCA casting couch sign, I suspect it has to do with young, hormonal male artists. I mentioned some time ago that decades ago I eked out a living as a scenic/lighting designer in regional theater. In a couple of my earliest designs in my youngest, most hormonal, phase of that career, I inserted quite a few ... uh ... in reference to that Donald image I posted above, let's just call them "ducks" ... into my designs. I crammed so many ducks into that Arthur Rackham inspired design of "Beauty and the Beast," I'm surprised I wasn't called out on it in the reviews. I mean, I had a forest full of wood as a background, and I wasn't all that subtle. Based on that, I have no trouble believing that Mickey/Minnie image is authentic.

According to this site https://thetalkingpot.wordpress.com/tag/disney-bladid/:

"BLAÐIÐ is Icelandic. Meaning: BLAÐ means magazine (in this context) and the -IÐ at the end is equivalent to ‘the’, so this means ‘the magazine’. The word above ‘BLAÐIÐ’ is ‘Disney’, so the full title is ‘DISNEY BLAÐIÐ’, or ‘the Disney magazine’. "

Interesting. Thanks for clearing this up. I landed on that page last night, but apparently didn't scroll far enough before getting distracted to a different site. Also interesting, to me anyway, is that when I entered "BLAÐIÐ" into Google translation, it returned "FICHE" in English, short for "microfiche," which makes no sense in this context. But now, when I enter "BLADID," with the modern English alphabet D replacing the Ð, Google returns "the magazine."

And yeah, that Donald ride is messed-up.

How about the Annual Passholder shirt ad in some Disney mailers, where you couldn't see the "P".

Or a classic Photo I took, with the Sure Shot midway game where the "O" fell down and stayed that way for a couple of weeks at DCA,

Looking at Walt's Statue from the side... (aka Mickey's nose)

And lets see, Disney bought Miramax in 1993, right when the planning for the expansion at Disneyland started, so is that a coincidence?

First off, someone owes me a couple of drinks, since I just watched the Stupidstar Lame-O ride on video looking for a casting couch, alas, couldn't find one. But reminded me why I wanted a drink or two prior to riding it!

But here are some fun related items, warning the first link does have some 4-letter words.

As you can tell, many of these images were done on purpose as inside jokes....

And gee, I met my wife at Disneyland....

Walt gave Lillian a petrified tree stump for their anniversary. What a romantic

[[[ Mustn't make hardwood joke ... mustn't make hardwood joke ... mustn't make ... ]]]

But back to Hans original topic that is focused on stuff in the parks (from which I first strayed), I can't think of any other examples of obviously deliberate sexual innuendo or imagery actually deployed in the parks. Anyone?
