Just read the crane is out... anyone know how long is normally out for at this time of year? I'll be in wdw in 23 days and would prefer to know if it's going to be in my photos
But it would still be out during the day ? Sorry for the dozy question! They only do it at night now. Its been out for at least a few weeks now.
It collapses down flat so can only really be seen from the back of the castle. But it would still be out during the day ? Sorry for the dozy question!
Thanks for your helpIt collapses down flat so can only really be seen from the back of the castle.
For real. I remember well the struggle of trying to take castle pictures with as little visible crane as possible.I don't get why they didn't start collapsing it years ago. It can't be that hard to do.

When they have the boom extension on it is a larger project to put it in travel mode. They can't leave that on. It is an extra hour or so to get the extension in place and stow it so a couple of hours of crane time each day. Maybe this is a longer crane than they have used in the past, I would need pictures of the model number to be sure. If it is longer then it won't use the extension and can be stowed each night with little extra time required. For real. If it ever gets to that point, they will simply do away with the lights.they should use drones to put up the lights now
I'm joking, but maybe someday...
They have been using the collapsing cranes for years. The only time they have to use the extended cranes are either when they are making repairs on the building decorating the very top.I don't get why they didn't start collapsing it years ago. It can't be that hard to do.
