Trip Report The countdown just hit zero - We’re in Disney right now!

Greetings fellow Disney lovers and welcome one and all to this happy place. As the title suggests I am in Florida right now, living the dream

Some of you will know me but for those of you who don't let's have a quick introduction as my 17 night trip has already started. Yes you read that right - 17 nights - whoooooo. Hoooooooo.


Me - Tracey - I absolutely love Disney, my house is covered in Disney - my first night in POR will see me spending 300 nights in my favourite place - I live in a bubble and the outside world frustrates me in terms of horrible, violent people but that's another story and not one for my trip report.


Chris - my husband, best friend and my rock. We've been married for 21 years and we still laugh and joke with each other. He never wanted to go to Disney but now his hooked - love me, love Disney!


We're in Florida from the UK for our 21st trip - I am fortunate to be able to afford this every year but I'm still jealous of all my American friends who can get cheap flights over regularly (and this who now live here) - this trip alone with overnight at a hotel before our flight, car parking, Disney, Kennedy and Universal tickets, car hire and hotel cost us in excess of £4000


It's a substantial amount of money but hey, the amount of memories we create we really don't mind and why we can afford it we will go......

Here we are last year.

This TR might be a little different from my last 3 - I’ve previously done daily updating every night which at times has seen me spending all day in the park and then writing till well beyond midnight. Those of you who have done TR’s will know the time they take (it’s certainly a commitment but we all do it to share our stories and our love of Disney so others can live through it all and help with Disney blues or countdowns to their own trips)

I’ve not had a holiday or break from work since March so I just need to chill!


That said since I’ve been here I’ve been writing every day (but not posted) - so our trip - so far - will be easy to post (as I’ll just copy and paste) and add photos of course!


After that though who knows as we’ll be into the Disney park part of our holiday (more about that shortly)

We’ll just see what happens and and I’ll update when I can for those of you who want to read it!

Tuesday 7th November

Today was Magic Kingdom day - FINALLY - adding extra days onto our holiday was great but it not adding the extra days to our park ticket meant waiting longer for us to get immersed in the Disney bubble.

We were up and ready to go early and would definitely make park opening at 8am (there was no welcome show as they were doing the last day of filming for the Xmas ABC special) - but to be honest I LOoooVed the old welcome show and I doubt anything will match that so I wasn’t bothered.

As we walked up Main Street I was grateful for whoever invented sunglasses not to keep the sun out but to cover the tests rolling down my cheeks.
I was finally back........

First stop was to be BTMRR - where else? - this is a favourite of mine and it had been 2 long years since I’d ridden as last year it was closed for refurbishment

Now I think I’m famous on here via @Tuvalu TR’s posting too many pictures to count of her riding BTMRR for me - (I bet she doesn’t even know how many times she’s tagged me in a photo since my last trip in Movember last year)

today it was finally my turn and the smile I had on my face was not going away in a hurry!

I make no apologies for the onslaught of photos that will follow as I have to make up lost time.......

So much fun and there was no wait - so round we went again to ride for a second time...

We’d be back’ later for another ride with our fast pass so we headed to another favourite HM - not before Chris put me in the stocks for being naught and having too much fun on BTMRR

It was a hot day but Splash Mountain is closed for refurbishment so we just had to look - thankfully if all goes to plan it’s opening about 2 days before we leave and we do have a fast pass! Fingers crossed.

I could look at the castle forever ........

Our next stop was favourite number 3 for us - Pirates. May as well make it a trio early doors.

Then buzz - I am posting this picture because it made me chuckle (I have never tried to take a picture in here but look at the fluorescent effects) - freeky

We had decided on an early lunch and there was one thing on my list I wanted - fish and chips - I love these fish and chips and had been looking forward to this - I ewasnt disappointed

We sat upstairs and warptched the world go by

After lunch we headed toward 7DMT for our final fast pass (oops somewhere in this mornings rides we had also done Pan with a fast pass - seems I missed that one out!)

Time for a sit down on the TTA

And then it was ice cream time!

We then found a spot for the parade

I love this parade, if I could watch this every day I would!

My first Disney parade under my belt We headed to the Indy Speedway as we have managed to get an additional fast pass

Little Mermaid next and I got given the red card (1-0) to me!

It was a really warm day - think s9mething like 86 degrees so we got ourselves a frozen lemonade

I’ mot sure of all the other rides but we clocked up quite a few...

We headed to the front of the hub to see what Xmas filming was going on - they had Sienna (I don’t even know who that is) and 5th harmony

We headed to Main Street to find a spot for Happily ever after - MAgic Kingdom had a lot of people in it and I was a little concerned about how long it was going to take us to leave so we headed half way down - I would have preferred to be nearer the Castle but maybe we’ll try that next week when I think it’s due to get a little quieter just before the thanksgiving rush

Of many decent photos to share so I’ll just try again another day.

We headed to the bus stop and we’re on our way home

Door to door we had been out 14 1/2 hours and were knackered - our Disney beds were calling us

Can I take one of these beds home?

Do you think that our plane could tie it to the wing?
And I did look for a photo on google of bed on wing but surprise surprise nothing came up - I wonder why!


So it looks like I have caught up!

It’s Wednesday morning and we are headed to Epcot for 9am opening and to absorb more of this Disney Magic.

I had mentioned to Chris that I wanted to go to Target - I’ve heard so many people talk about it on here I wanted to go look! Funny how that could make it onto my list of things to see and do whilst in Florida... so Chris said let’s try to find it.

Unfortunately we didn’t make it - there was a traffic jam we joined the back of that looked like it wasn’t moving so we turned round and headed home.

We heard on the radio on the way back there had been quite a serious accident so we could have been there for a while - maybe one day I’ll get there. .... - I just hope when I do get there I won’t be disappointed..... as I’m blaming all of you for the reason I want to go in the first place

Your wallet probably thanks you for not being able to go. Not many people can go into Target and not leave several dollars poorer.

Love Cinnabon. Probably crave them more now that I am not supposed to have the sugar. Back when I could eat them, I never had the willpower to only eat half and save the rest for later. Great photos and lots of fun smiles in your TR so far. Thanks for sharing.

Your first day in MK sounded incredible! You managed to hit all of my favorite things. I've never commented on your TRs before but from what I've read you and I have a lot in common - Big Thunder is my absolute favorite ride, I can't go a day without ice cream, and the beast makes me swoon I can't wait to hear more about your trip.

I don’t care for them but Chris loves them and I guess if we hadn’t filled up on fries and milkshake he would have eaten it all.

Believe it or not yes! Very strange I know but most fish and chips in the UK are greasy but not here - I am a strange one anyway so this is pretty normal for me to be different.

Keep counting down your trip will be here before you know it but like we always say you have to be careful not to wash it away too much as you want it to go slowly when you do finally arrive.
