The upcoming Muppet Movie was never the Cheapest Muppet Movie script. They shelved it and went with the "Greatest Muppet Movie Ever" script for now

I'm really excited for this movie... I read an interview last year with Jason Segel where he mentioned he was involved in writing the new script for this movie. He also made it abundantly clear he's a huge fan of the muppet movie's in the past and has huge expectations for this new movie. I can't wait!!

i liked the original title... lookin foward to anyhow.

The new Muppet Movie and Cheapest Muppet movie aren't the same project. Disney was thinking about breaking out the Cheapest Muppet Movie concept which went as far as D23, but shelved it and went with another pitch entirely. If Greatest Muppet Movie (which is what this movie was originally called) does well, they'll probably break out Cheapest Muppet Movie then.

Also, the new title "The Muppets" was announced months ago.

I think you are confused. There has been for a few years only one Muppet movie in production that has undergone several different name changes. This is the Jason segal written by/starring movie, now called just "The Muppets".

I too have very high hopes for this movie. If its a success then that could mean a whole lot more of my favorite characters around the parks. I fear that if its not very successful they will ignore them even more than they do now.

See You Opening Night!!!!! :sohappy:
