The Brower's Terrific Triple Trip Report! :)

Welcome to the Brower’s Terrific Triple Trip Report! It is a little delayed, but we have had a busy holiday season. But let’s get started! Introducing the family: Dad, Mom, sister, Katie and Robert. We have been going to Disney since 1988 and have always wanted to write a trip report, so here it is:

First Trip: September 9-12
(Warning: Katie and Robert like to take millions of extra pictures. :D)

We started out this trip with the full intentions of writing a trip report afterwards, which meant that we took tons of pictures. But that's the best part of a trip report anyways, right? Some of the pictures came out a little fuzzy, but we'll try to get rid of any of those.
We arrived in Orlando bright and early in the morning and caught the magical express to Bay Lake Tower, our new favorite place to stay (our friends call it the Brower Tower). It has become a bit of a tradition to always eat breakfast at the Contemporary when our flight arrives early in the morning, so that's exactly what we did! After that, we made the short walk over to the Magic Kingdom and began our wonderful trip!

Before ever leaving home, we had decided to have a very casual trip. So, after dragging Katie out of the candy store kicking a screaming....:lookaroun....we made our way across Main Street to the Emporium. We browsed around for a while, deciding on what souvenirs we would eventually want to spend a fortune on. We were also thinking ahead to our next trip, which would be over Halloween weekend. Since we were going to Not So Scary on the Friday of our next trip, we werethinking ahead to our costumes. Katie? She was settled on Jasmine, and as you can see in a few of the next pictures, she was wishing she would fit into the little kid costumes. The shoes might've fit.
But anyways, on to the pictures! :)
5313451326_502c8904fb_z.jpg

She really loves the camera.

5313452452_d57181eb0b_z.jpg

She also loves Jasmine, apparently. And she's determined that she's being Jasmine for Halloween.

She really wanted these. Too bad they weren't the right size.

More to come soon! :)

As you can see from some of the pictures coming up soon, the crowds during this trip were very minimal. Several rides we walked right on to, and there were multiple times in which we found ourselves the only people in an entire area. It was a little bit creepy, but it was also nice to not have to deal with a bunch of other tourists. We definitely suggest traveling to WDW in September! Completely different experience than other times of the year.

Anyways, after spending a little more time in the Emporium and walking up Main Street, we made our way into Fantasyland. We took a ride on SWSA, probably quoting the entire thing as we were the only ones in the vehicle. After that, we took a ride on Dumbo...

Next, we headed to the teacups, one of Katie and Robert's favorites! But not before heading by the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, or as it could be called on this trip, the Hundred Acre Walls. Be back soon with more! :)

Nice TR so far-cant wait to read more!

Ummm and Stitch is DEFINITELY freaky! Thats a stuffed animal?
Thanks! :)
He is indeed! Yeah, it's a stuffed animal that they dress up for the different holidays. We have more pictures of him from a following trip in a new costume!

Pooh was actually open on this trip, but we didn't take the time to ride it quite yet. We did take some pictures on the way by though:

5312906543_4873ce59e6_z.jpg

The creepiest queue ever!

Katie and I were the only one's to go on the teacups, seeing as we like to attempt to spin the cup off the track. We also have a favorite teacup, the green and purple one on the green circle. It typically is the cup squeaking once the rest of the cups stop. In other words, it's the best. :D

We then went and grabbed fastpasses for Buzz since they were at a convenient time, headed to Cosmic Rays, and grabbed lunch. We tend to do a lot of eating on our trips, especially the middle of these three trips. But after lunch, we headed down to Toontown to walk around for a little bit since we knew it wouldn't be there much longer.

Katie's favorite movie of all times is Alice in Wonderland (the Disney classic, not the new one, although she loves it as well) so we had to go on the back pathway to Tommorrowland and take pictures of all the Alice signage for the Halloween party.

Be afraid, be very afraid!
I'm not sure what's gonna be the scariest part of these trip reports: that Stitch, our whole family at the Halloween party, or me at the Christmas party.....I'll let you decide at the end.

Remember when we said we took a leisurely trip? I meant it. After a relaxing ride on Carousel of Progress and a text from BLT telling us our room was ready, we headed out of the park back to the hotel for a little relaxing. But not without taking a few more pictures along the way!

And then we were back at the room! Our room was on the top floor, meaning we had quite a view!

I like your bow!

While in the room, I decided to set up a foursquare account. I regret it, but I'm now addicted. So when we headed down to the Contempo Cafe for a little snack, I checked in and started the obsession.

5317800578_9994859bec_z.jpg

Delicious.

Pretty much, we like to eat at Disney. A lot. So after we got our snack, we headed back to the room for a few minutes, then back over to the Magic Kingdom for dinner at the Plaza.

Somehow, we didn't get any pictures while we were eating at the Plaza, but as always, it was delicious! After that, we were planning on going to Downtown Disney, but for some reason, we didn't feel like walking back to the Contemporary to catch the bus. So instead, we caught the bus to the Yacht Club, rode it there, then walked around the hotel a little before catching the bus from there to Downtown Disney. Pictures to come!

Bus time!

I don't know why, but the buses always make me laugh, and since it was pretty much empty, it seemed like the appropriate time to take pictures.

After some walking around and checking into places on foursquare on my behalf, we decided it was time to head back to the room for the night so we could get a relatively early start in the morning. Plus, we knew we would be going back to Downtown Disney the next night because we were planning on eating at Rainforest Cafe. So we hopped on the bus (the right one this time) and we headed back to get a good night's sleep at BLT.

Day two coming soon! :)

Day 2:
We started off the morning with breakfast at the Contemporary, and then a trip to EPCOT. We had reservations at Via Napoli for lunch, and we were very anxious to try it out.
First, like always, we attempted to go get fastpasses for Soarin'. However, it seemed that every single person at WDW that weekend was in line or getting fastpasses. I guess that's where all the crowds were instead. But the time of the fastpasses was right in the middle of our reservations, so we knew there was no use in getting them. We then ran to Test Track to get fastpasses there instead, but their time was starting about 30 minutes before our reservation. We knew it would be too risky and we probably wouldn't make it to Italy on time, so we just skipped both of those rides for the trip.
5317154455_4e2776daa3_z.jpg

Powerwalk!

We looked in Mousegears, walked around, looked at the Pin Station, and just spent a little time before heading to World Showcase.

I realise you're back now, but hopefully this will help for future trips... [and possibly help others reading your TR]

FastPass "end" times are not hard and fast, the start time for the one-hour window has to be respected, but you can return with your FPs any time after that. I'm fairly certain the reason Disney allows this is precisely because of situations like yours. You have no control over how your fixed reservations interact with the FP return times, so they give you the flexibility to use it later if you can't meet the window on the FP.

You could then have at least ridden one of the two...

Sorry for the delay! Our family has had a very busy past couple of days, and unfortunately, we didn't find any time for writing our trip report! However, today is a snow day for everyone in our house, so we definitely have some time!

When we left off, we were heading to Via Napoli. We were seated fairly quickly and ready to try it out. Then things turned interesting. The story is after these few pictures. As you will see, we had a lot of time to take them.

We were enjoying taking in the atmosphere of the restaurant, but after a while we started to wonder if we would ever be waited on. We saw lots of waiters at other tables and just standing around, but nobody was coming near our table. Eventually our waiter finally appeared, took our drink order, then disappeared again. At this time we noticed a table of Disney executives right next to us, and it seemed that they had the same waiter as us.
Finally our waiter showed back up, but only to take away our water glasses (which never had water in them), and filled these glasses up with our drink orders. Now it was time to order our meal. We knew we wanted a meter pepperoni pizza, but we were not sure if that would be enough, so Katie wanted to get an individual cheese pizza to go with it. The waiter could not really understand this and kept trying to tell us what we wanted to order, so finally we settled on a meter pepperoni and an individual pepperoni. Then our waiter disappeared again!
The executives next to us started to get their food, and we couldn’t help but notice that they were sending every single thing brought out back into the kitchen. We sat for a while and saw all of their food come out, as well as many other tables food. We were beginning to wonder if we would ever get out pizza, and if it would even be worth it when we got it. Then we saw kitchen staff coming towards out table with a pizza. Could it be? Were we really getting our food?
Read our next post to figure out what happens!

When we left off, the kitchen staff was walking toward us with a meter pizza. We wondered if it could finally be our pizza, and then they set it down in front of us…..
We’re not sure what kind of pizza this was, but it was definitely not pepperoni. We told the staff it was not our pizza, and they basically insisted it was ours because they were told to bring it to our table. We finally convinced them to take the pizza away, and eventually another pizza was being brought our way. When they set this one down we were almost amazed to see it was pepperoni! This was our meter pizza and our individual pepperoni pizza was brought shortly.
After all of this trouble getting what we wanted, we wondered if the pizza was worth. As you see from these pictures, it definitely was!!!

With our tummies full, we decided to take a leisurely stroll around World Showcase. Remember how Katie loves the candy store? When we got to Germany, she stood outside of the new caramel store, wishing it was open. We also had to backtrack and make a stop in Morocco, because Katie needed accessories for her Halloween costume. We accidentally shut down the computer system in Morocco, so we ended up spending way more time there than we planned. After finishing up there, we walked back over to Future World, and were headed out of the park when our sister wanted to stop. Spaceship Earth didn’t have a line at all and she loves that ride so we all rode it with her. Of course Robert and Katie rode together and made an amazing movie at the end!

5342742943_2e06919355_z.jpg

After Spaceship Earth, we left the park, hopped on the monorail, and headed back to BLT. We decided to take a little Disney nap before heading out to Downtown Disney. When we got to Downtown Disney we walked around for a little bit and went shopping at TrendD. After making a few purchases we were starting to get a little hungry, but we did not have reservations anywhere so we weren’t sure where we were going to eat. We walked by Rainforest Café, and it didn’t look too crowded. We ended up getting seated immediately on the outside patio, which we did not even know they had until this trip.

We really enjoyed eating out here because it wasn’t too hot and we were looking across the water at Pleasure Island and the West Side. After dinner we did a little more shopping and then headed back to BLT for an early night because we were planning on being at the Magic Kingdom at 8 the next morning.
