The Boardwalk

I am going to the Boardwalk resort in January with my cousins and my sister. I was just wondering if it is a good resort? Any stories or experiences you can share?

I thhink that you will love BW. It is a really easy walk to MGM and EPCOT. The pool is nice, but sometimes its too cold in Jan. to enjoy it much. Be careful, you might not make it home without joining DVC, you might want to bring along an extra $12,000 spending money!!!

Something that hasn't been mentioned is that the rooms overlooking the Boardwalk are soundproofed. So if you were assuming noise from the Boardwalk would be a problem, it isn't.

My guilty pleasure at the Boardwalk is the ESPN club's overtime fries.

I just got back from BWI concierge. The concierge service was excellent!!! I wish I could say the same for the room. It was a standard room, which is fine, but it was the absolute "end" room; being over ESPN would have put me closer to the elevators! I was overlooking the quiet pool (in the distance) but the trash area was directly under my room. Every morning at 4AM they picked up the trash; beep, beep, beep. Plus, I had a half-sized balcony. Luckily, I was alone, so it didn't matter. Oh well, it's just the luck of the draw; SOMEONE had to get it, since the hotel was full.

Gettin drunk on the Boardwalk is one of my favs,ESPN rocks and Epcot so close by.

That entire area is wonderful! We stay at Caribbean Beach, but go to the BoardWalk at least three times per vacation for food, ice cream, strolling, and recreation!

This December will be our first deluxe resort with Yacht Club, and we are overly excited for the conveniences of being close to Epcot and MGM.

Ill vouch for that...just got back...our room was on concierge level right above espn store....no noise problem, the only outside noise that gets in is illuminations loudest portions for like 4 seconds
