I am going to the Boardwalk resort in January with my cousins and my sister. I was just wondering if it is a good resort? Any stories or experiences you can share?
Thanks

It is a excellent resort convenient to epcot and mgm only ashort walk if you like to walk that is. I find Lunapark pool to be one of best on property. Everything is right there that you could imagine.
But i am kinda partial to this resort you see it is my Home resort
of DVC.:king: :xmas: .

p.s. will be home again at the end of March.:sohappy:

Boardwalk is simply an awesome resort. It does lack some of the kid friendly items from Poly or Y&B club, but for grown ups this is a top notch resort.

My wife and I were there in Oct 2002 for the food and wine fest at Epcot. It was so nice to be able to walk into the back door of Epcot only 5 minutes away. We loved the restaraunts at boardwalk, Spoodle and Flying Fish were are favroites. We loved sitting on the balcony of the Belle Vue room late at night and loved sitting on our room's blacony for breakfast.

Best of luck and hope y'all have a great trip!

Hey Kev,
The Boardwalk is one of my favorite resorts. The atmosphere is amazing there. Also try Spoodles and the quick service pizza.. two of my fav. places to eat.

(What time in Jan. are you going? I'll be there till around the 13th)

I stayed there with my parents and siblings last Christmas. We loved it. Walking around the boardwalk and seeing the sights and sounds was always a treat. In particular I remember a guy riding a tricycle around with a piano on it . . . playing, riding and steering all at once. Very impressive. We usually had breakfast out on the boardwalk in the mornings at the bakery there.

We like MGM and Epcot most so it was nice to be within walking distance to both of those places.

I'll be checking in on Thursday!

I've stayed three times before; once in a room with a view of Epcot, once in a garden room(not as much fun) and once in a deluxe villa. The villa didn't have a great view, but was very convenient to transportation, the walkway to MGM, and the quiet pool. There was also a group of ducks that visited every morning, and the company couldn't be beat. ;) ( I was sharing it with some of the forum ladies, and we had a mini-meet cocktail party with other forum members in the villa)

As mentioned, this is a great location for getting around. The pool at YC/BC is better, but that might not be as important in January. ;)

Stayed there in 2002...great property....pool could be better in my opinion....the kids said the slide was lame...you had to basically push yourself down the slide.....but other than that, rooms are nice and roomy....atmosphere is great and location is the key seller! We loved walking to Epcot and MGM.

Have a great time!!

We love it!! We either stay there or Y & B. Once you stay deluxe it is very hard to stay anywhere else! being close is great. Being adults (really big kids at heart) we tend to gravitate to Epcot. That and my husband is in a Technology field so he is right at home. Close to great dining and great attractions. A+ on our list!!:sohappy:

I stayed there in July and it was absolutely excellent. It was my first time at a deluxe and I thought it was worth every penny. It's so convenient to Epcot and MGM. There are so many great restaurants close by and the Boardwalk itself is like a mini-Pleasure Island. Hope you have as good a time as I did.

Yes Kevin, the Boardwalk is a fabulous resort. I have stayed there twice, and love every time. In fact, when we make our monthly visit to WDW in January, we have been thinking of staying there again. The pool is really cool. And it's great to have all this entertainment and fine dining right at your doorstep. Flying Fish Cafe, Spoodles, and the ESPN Club are really good. In fact I ate Thanksgiving dinner at the ESPN Club last week. Also, you're a VERY short walk to Epcot, which is a plus. And they have boat services to Epcot, Yacht and Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin, and the Disney MGM Studios. I definitely recommend it.
