Does snoke even have anything qoute worthy? His lines were all generic bad guy stuff. Would have been better if they had the Emperor with new lines of dialogue for the holocron instead of the non-characther Snoke who they realized was a non-characther so they killed him off.

That's because Snoke is really a half formed cloned Emporer because the Rebellion blew up the clone tanks before he was complete. Now the Sith spirit of the Emporer needs to possess Rey's body.

Please tell me that is seriously not the plot to Rise of Skywalker because that is soooo lame.

I would be ok with that. start over with a new episode 7 and make it a true sequel to Return of the Jedi that introduces new characthers naturally like the original trilogy did by having Luke, Han, Leia encounter them on an adventure they are having and they join them and eventually leads to a passing of the peton over the course of 3 films. but since Fisher is gone that ship i am afraid has long since sailed. too bad we will never see the big 3 back on the big screen again and that was the only moment i wanted to happen in the new trilogy. if they had them together again i would have been satisfied. the one OBVIOUS THING all Star Wars fans wanted to see and it went right over their heads. They couldn't even figure out Leia should be hugging Chewie after Han died instead of Rey who she is meeting for the first time and has no idea Leia ever existed or what she looked like but goes up to her and hugs her. Uggggh.[/QUOTE]

At least Daisy Ridley didn't shout out "Carrie!" like Mark did.

that is one of my favorite movie mistakes but it works in the moment of jubelation because it also sounds like luke is just yelling randomly in their victory.

Disney tried to be creative with Star Wars and the Internet crucified them. My money is on we are getting a sequel-remake.

I’m betting it won’t be too similar to any OT films. But it will be a self referential trip down memory lane with old locations, props and plot points being integral to the plot of TROS.

You should make a Star Wars movie, Haunt. I'm sure it wouldn't suck.
Actually it wouldn't. I understand what star wars is about. it's not about "bad " lightsaber fights with everyone doing flips and force pushes and such. It's always been about the emotion of who is fighting and why they are fighting that made the fights compelling. Its not about rebels or empire. sure they were factors but they were all for the most part ,except for a few stand out characthers like Wedge,ACKBAR, etc, just generic background bad guys and good guys used to tell the story. I mean the only time we even see the rebellion in EMPIRE is at the start and end. same with the empire in that film, we just get vader, the emperor, some named generals and a ton of storm troopers and generic people working on the star destroyer. EMPIRE demonstrates its not about the space dog fights, or the color of the lightsabers, that stuff is always just the background for telling a compelling characther story. that is why we love the original STAR WARS. we enjoy the lived in world but mainly the characthers we are introduced to. Hell, we meet Han about half way in or so and by the end we are cheering for him when he comes to save Luke. we get half a movie to know all we need to know about him to know we like him. it has always been about the characther arcs and emotions they go through. the trials they go through. good vs evil and good winning even though it faces moral delimeas and temptations all set against a space background. that is why disney's star wars has failed. They don't have characthers they have types of people they want in the film to bring in a certain demographic to watch the films. so yes, my film would be good.

I think what your post tells us is that Star Wars is different to different people. And that each person has their own opinion on what makes Star Wars personal to them. Its not a generic statement that all Star Wars fans think Star Wars is X or they feel Y when Z happens. Its all based on the individual.

So while you don't like Disney's Star Wars and its characters doesn't mean there aren't fans out there that do. In fact I can say there is probably a very large fan base around the world for the new films and characters just based on the Celebration alone.

then why didn't they go see 'SOLO'? I rest my case your honor. DISNEY DOES NOT UNDERSTAND STAR WARS AT ALL
