The Big Hype!

Le Cellier was a letdown for us. My husband cooks really good steaks at home. So if I am going to pay 35$ bucks for someone else to cook it, it better be better than his and it wasn't even as good.

The only thing that I can think of off the top of my head is the dole whips. I know it is an unpopular opinion around here, but it just didn't do the trick.

For me too, the Dole Whips and LC Filet + Mushroom Risotto were meh. Dole Whip was fine, just not the "out of body" experience many go on about. Couldn't even eat the mushroom risotto--to the point that the waiter noticed and insisted on bringing me an alternate of mashed potatoes. Full credit to the staff of Le Cellier, though--I've always enjoyed the service there.

Although it's delicious, and certainly one of my faves, the meal at 'Ohana dinner has way too much hype about it! Don't get me wrong- I love it, but..
Also the hype w/ BOG. It's a new restaurant and it's cool, but come on!

We ate at BOG last night and I have to say that the food was kinda blah. However, the atmosphere and the whole experience was so awesome that I didn't even care what the food tasted like lol.

We ate lunch there and the steak sandwich could not be chewed, the ham and cheese one was burnt but the cupcakes we had for dessert were lovely. The next time I tried the pork dish (again at lunch) and it was very good but not something to stand in line over an hour for, of course we went back for a second time because of the atmosphere which is totally awesome, I'm with you Ember on BOG!

Earl of Sandwich just wasn't everyting that I had hoped it would be. It was an average sandwich shop for me. I enjoyed it. I think I had put it on too high of a pedestal based on reviews I'd read. Just didn't live up to the hype for me.

On the Grey Goose.....There is a bit of a story about that. No idea if it is true, but it would not surprise me one bit if it was. They made one change to Grey Goose to take it from a well brand to top shelf. They tripled the price.

I had the Original 1762, wife had the Chicken Caeser Wrap, daughter had Turkey 'N' Swiss and my son had the grilled cheese. Kids were very happy. I didn't dislike mine, just nothing to write home about.

I do agree with the Le Cellier comments. LC is WAY over hyped and overpriced!
