The Best Ride You've Ever Been On (Disney or not)

The longest, fastest wooden coaster...at Kings Island in cincy...

THE BEAST

Anyone that has rode this would agree, it's hard to argue against. The ride was decades ahead of it's time, and is still an exciting, thrilling and smooth ride. Not much beats a +5m coaster with 2 chain hills

But if I was at Disney, PoTC, ToT or TT get my vote

Hollywood Tower of Terror (WDW) - best ride ever!!!, Kilimanjaro Safari - always a little different with the animals, Soarin', DarKastle (sp?) - Bush Gardens Wmsbrg, Batman - 6 flags over Georgia, Space Mountain, Sidewinder - Dollywood.:p

Tower of Terror. We have a love-hate relationship. I rode it in 2005 and promised myself never to go on it again. But then on my last trip I went on as a favor to a family member.

To put it bluntly, it's perfection, and to you cynics, it's damn close to it.

The Hollywood Tower of Hotel is what's pulling you down Sunset Boulevard. It sits there waiting for you, drawing you in. You queue up in the courtyard of an abandoned hotel. A reflecting pool sits cracked and empty. Dust covers furniture. You're being set up...drawn into the experience. You're no longer in line at a theme park, you're in Hollywood, 1939. You head through the spooky library, which sets the stage for the the whole experience. The boiler room creaks and groans, and creepy hotel employees board you in your elevator. The rest of the ride is disorienting, mysterious, and terrifying. You have to admit, no matter how many times you ride it, it still manages to send a chill down your spine. It's Walt Disney Imagineering at it's best, but I have to admit I don't see anything like that ever being built at a Disney theme park again.
(I know that sounded like PR...but gosh, I love that ride.)

Why not? It was only 1994 when that ride was built. Everest when fully operational was built in 2005. Who knows if anything from the Fantasyland expansion will blow us away. Splash Mountain was built in 1992 also. It isn't as if Disney isn't capable of doing this with great rides, great themes, great queues, etc. They do it all the time

My favorites are:

Thrill Rides:
ToT
RnRc
Hulk at Universal
The former Dueling Dragons
The rollercoaster on top of New York, New York in Vegas

Non Thrill Rides:
Toy Story Mania
Pirates
TeaCups
Men in Black

What is that like? Man, I've always wanted to try that out or just go to Vegas in general

1. Millenium Force (Cedar Point)
2. Maverick (Cedar Point)
3. (tie) The Beast and Son of Beast (Kings Island)
4. Magnum XL 200 (Cedar Point)
4. Manta (SeaWorld Orlando)
5. RocknRoller Coaster (WDW)
6. (tie) Kraken (SeaWorld) and Diamondback (Kings Island)
7. (tie) The Hulk (IOA) and The Mummy (Universal Orlando)
8. Expedition Everest (WDW)
9. Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point)
10. (tie) Tower of Terror and Test Track (WDW)

I have yet to ride RipRideRockIt at Universal, though I was at the park in December 2009 (it was down for maintenance). I will be experiencing California Screamin' in October when I visit Disneyland.

Disney:
1. Haunted Mansion (WDW)
2. Pirates of the Caribbean (DLR)
3. Tower of Terror (WDW)
4. Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye

Non-Disney is IOA's Spiderman. At least until I see Harry Potter.

Technologically, I think Spiderman is probably the best ride I've been on, but in my list of favorite attractions, it barely breaks the top ten because I like the classic style rides much better. Tower of Terror does a much better job in presenting its story than Spiderman does.
