The Avengers

Spidey will be in the Avengers sequel. You can bank on that. There's already leaked talk of an Avengers cliffhanger at the very end of The Amazing Spider-Man which comes out this summer. The actor playing Peter Parker in the Spidey reboot has already proclaimed "deep interest" in the Avengers series if he is asked to join.

I wouldn't bet on that. I won't say it's impossible but Sony owns the film rights to Spider-Man and it's their choice what to do with him, not Marvel's. He is technically an avenger but the Avengers film used the original team and if they continue with that fashion you will more likely see Ant-man in the Avengers sequal. If Spider-man does find his way into the sequal then i think he would play a lesser role.

If you want to get technical... almost all of the Marvel U heroes are Avengers in some capacity.

A few years back they had a picture from Dissembled that showed all the current Avengers in one panel.

...

That's one big cast for Avengers 14: We'll Take All Your Money.

I'm almost positive spider man is not an avenger he made a couple appearances through out the comic series but only as a friend of the avengers never as an avenger and Sony not Disney owns the exclusive rights to spiderman.

Might want to look into that a bit more. The rights revert back end of this year.

A good attraction is a good attraction. Look at Disneyland Park. I personally think that it doesn't make sense that DL, a Magic Kingdom style park, has attractions for outside franchises like Indiana Jones or Star Wars. There's really no reason why Disney Hollywood Studios couldn't house a fantastic Avengers based attraction. A good attraction is a good attraction. Plus with how popular this movie is proving to be (and various sequels/spin offs on the way), I realy think they're gonna buld something. I really do.

There is one major reason Disney cannot build an Avengers attraction in DHS...
And yes, they will build something, just not in WDW since they can't...

If they really wanted to, they'd work it out with Universal. Do they want to is the million dollar question.

Well, we know Disney would want, but why would Universal want??? They will reap the many benefits of the Avengers being hugely popular...

SON: Mom, Dad, I want to meet Captain America...

MOM/DAD: OK Little Jimmy, we'll spend a day or two over at Universal so you can see Captain America.

Translation: More people leaving WDW property, spending a day or two less in WDW and giving the business to Universal... Factor in the people already taking a day or 2 out to see Wizarding World... Universal holds all the cards... So, why would they want to???

The other problem for Disney is that they haven't (in my opinion) been able to top Spiderman at Islands of Adventure since it opened, and now Universal have recently went an improved that attraction.
This means that if Disney is to build an attraction based on any Marvel characters it would have to be better than Spiderman (or at least I hope that is how they would be thinking).
