Am I really writing another pre trip report already? 11/25-11/30

We have been home 22 days and only have 54 days to go!?!?!!

A true first for us- we went twice in 2007, February and September. 10 day trips each and it was awesome. Usually, it is a once a year trip for us, 10-11 days. The only other time we we made it back in under a year, was an 11 day trip In 9/15 followed by a May 7-8 day trip in 2016. We shortened it up last year and this past September. But anywho...

Where- Coronado Springs

When- 11/25-11/30

Why-

These APs are not going to use themselves! And... I want to see the lights and Christmas decorations again.

I hate fall and winter, but I love Christmas! I literally have so many decorations and I am almost embarrassed to say how many trees I put up. Elaborately themed trees. (I had 6 in the house last year) I also put them up way before Thanksgiving. In my defense, it takes me forever. B loves lights but he will not put them up until the day after Thanksgiving. It looks like Clark Griswold threw up everywhere, but we love doing it.

To seal the deal, and book, I had to promise I would not put trees up the day after Halloween. I promised to wait til we came home.

Plans so far, we may or may not do MVMCP. It was crowded when we did it in 2009, so I am not sure. He says no. I will put it in the undecided column for now.

Booked and definite- Candlelight Processional package 11/27 Coral Reef-since we missed it last trip. We have only been once when this was going on, and with kids, in 2000- we did not do Epcot. I am soooo excited for this. I cried watching the videos. And Alfonso Ribero? Love him! Cannot wait.

I did FP at 8:00 day 60- because I flat forgot. Not used to planning again so quick. Got everything but Slinky Dog.

We are not going to try to eat a table service everyday since it is such a short trip. Besides, the Candlelight package, we booked a Cape May Cafe, because, well, Crab Legs.

This is going to be the the least planned trip, ever! I have had my little one, almost every day, but hey we are going back.. and bet ya, my trees still go up before we leave.

I am sure I will have a report up before you go, as long as I can talk the Hubby into letting me start some of my Christmas decorating before I go. I may or may not try another live-ish one, but I did not do too well with updating. I was too worn out!

Thank you, he is my little buddy! I had to use the hem glue strips, this time. Have to get a new sewing machine. It wasn’t a Cap’n Jack like his dad’s for MNSSHP but he loved it.

Just take pictures and notes and relive it when you get back
Personally doing a live report seems like watching fireworks thru a camera screen
I would rather focus on being in the moment than trying to report about it

I actually agree there, last year was my first attempt. I wanted to update, but did not do so great at it. We were having too much fun. May try to post some of Holiday stuff but not a whole report, until we are home. I also stopped taking a camera, for the exact reason you said, always felt like I had to come home and watch through a lens. I take my phone and my phone only now. The best photos are taken through our own eyes, and called memories.

This time 2 weeks from now our vacation begins! Making Thanksgiving lunch for my mom and dad, and son and his family then cleaning up the mess going to bed and heading out to enjoy the beach for a couple of days. Hoping for more shells this time of the year. B just wants to fish. Very cool that there is going to be a Tree lighting and fireworks the night before we go to Disney but we may or may not catch it since we will leave at about 4 am to get to the World nice and early. I don’t waste a minute.

I did make one late in the game change, I decided to do the Disney After Hours instead of MVMCP.
Bought those tickets instead.
The way I looked at it is- I have done the party and it was sooo crowded. Everything I have read says that the parties are even more crowded now. I have never done the After Hours and have only read very positive reviews of how low the crowds are and with AP discount the prices are about the same. I would rather try it and hope to see a really low crowd MK. I think this will especially be the best for us with all the other Christmasy plans we have, and being afraid crowds will be higher- at least we will have that night to enjoy a couple of hours of low crowds. And yes, I drink the kool-aid apparently but I don’t care to pay extra if it means I can ride rides over and over and not feel like I am in a sardine can!

And just like that..... after having begged to take my baby- they said YES!!!!!!!!!

That’s right- scrambling to rearrange the whole plans less than 2 weeks out!

Probably blew 200 bucks on Disney After Hours but WHO CARES????? I get to take my grandbaby!!!!!!!!!!

So thankful, I do not have to explain, why Gigi, and Papaw, are going to Walt Disney World without him!

This is him, hiding out in his Pap’s suitcase last week!

So, I play a really good game with the whole solo trips, but who am I really kidding?

I asked, to take him, but they said no, so we planned and would have enjoyed a trip, but missed the crap out of him. (Run on sentences, I know) I have him like at least 5 days a week. So we booked all the fp, Disney After Hours, etc. Dining.
I now mostly Fp for kid rides, glad I could change it!
I have literally been bawling all day!
We have been able to take him once, in 2017, but he was so little. He is old enough now to talk ridiculously, and have so much fun.

If not, we may let him nap and chill late in the day and then go for a hour or so of the event. He can be a night owl sometimes if he naps late so we will see. Depends on him and weather but would love for him to enjoy a low crowd MK for awhile. Apparently the date for MK Morning Magic is already sold out or I would ask to trade for it.

It doesn't hurt to ask. I would explain the situation & give it a shot. With as accommodating as they can be there's probably a good chance they might do it. Even if they don't at least you're not wondering if they would/wouldn't have.

That is what I was thinking, especially if we are not asking for the money back. I would just like to be able to trade it for something a little more Toddler friendly.10- 1:00 Am is just tooo much! I will give them a call this evening.

Update! We have all been sick this week, and it is a doozy. Just glad it happened this week instead of next week. Use your hand sanitizer people whatever this crap is I don’t want it again. (Isn’t strep or flu, just a horrid viral thing) Thankfully we are getting better now.

I decided to wait on the After Hours tickets because I would rather ask at Concierge because they are always so awesome.- And if I can’t exchange them, I might decide to take him for like an hour just for Peter Pan’s Flight. Sounds crazy I know, but that was my first ride ever at Disney World as well as my son’s. I have never been on it without him but he made me promise to ride it with the baby. I love that boy. Anyway, I could not get a FP for it so late so, to me it would be worth the 200 bucks we spent.

I was able to change some ADRs to get him two more character meals- Tusker House and Garden Grill breakfast. He loves Chip N’ Dale as much as his Gigi but his favorite is Chip, mine is Dale. He says Gigi hug Dale first- I hug Chip. If you ask him which is which, he absolutely knows too. He will say Chip has a black nose- Dale’s is Wed.

Other than that not much has changed, except that bright and early next Sunday morning (The Good Lord willing) we will be in Walt Disney World!
