The 80's Are Back!!!

I got tired of having broked down discussions through the different threads, so I decided to create this one.

Transformers - Just watched Armada's "First Encounter", which is supposed to be episodes 1 and 2. The robots look cool, but it's Anime, and it's so slow at times, and with so many flashbacks to stuff you just saw that it kinda ruins the mojo of the revival. Plus there's no transforming sound, and they changed Prowl's and Bumblebee's names. It's no "Robots in Disguise", but Beast Wars still was the one that got closer to the original. I just hope at least the toys are cool. Also, it seemed as if it wasn't in TF continuity, which is odd, because I thought the Armada comics WERE part of the continuity. So maybe the comics are one thing and the toon is another, and their only similarities are the Minicons?

TMNT - I like it more with each episode. So far, I've watched the first 2, and I'm getting used to the new looks. It feels exactly like the old comic, and a lot like the first movie. I hope they don't ruin with a bad dubbing if it ever gets down here.

He-Man - I gotta admit, it's the best of the batch, and I haven't even finished "The Beginning" yet! But it looks so faithful to the original, and yet so new, you really gotta love it! Can't wait to see the new transformation sequence! But I do have a few nitpicks: I liked when Cringer talked, now Adam has no one to talk to! And that gypsy medallion that Orko is wearing is no good. Also, I'm wondering if they'll keep the story that Queen Marlene came from Earth. And Adam being a 16 year old really is a better disguise than wearing pink and having lighter hair and skin color. Oh, and will Teela be captain of the guard even though she's just a kid? Sure, so far she's fought better than their whole team of defenders, but still, you gotta wonder if they'll give the job to a teen. And there's DEFINATELY more possibility of a love interest here!

I had a Bravestar Action Figure.

Smurfs will propably become a live action movie by New Line.

Remember Lazer Tag. Or how about those Videos you bought and you could shoot at the things on screen with various Air Vehichle toys - Captain Power I think.

Thanks for the offer, Freak, but I'm downloading them too... :) Funny, I don't think Adam will be carrying that HUGE sword around!

Bravestarr was SO COOL! Nobody remembers it down here, so I'm downloading a couple of episodes! Thirty-Thirty was probably the BEST sidekick!

Let me know what ones you find because I'd eventually like to have them all but there are a few that I can't find...

I've already got "The Beginning", plus 4 and 5 ("Courage of Adam" and "Sky War"). Right now, I'm downloading from 6 to 16. I still have to check at TV Tome if there's any more after that.

TMNT I've got number 2, and the first one is around everywhere. No sign of 3 yet.

Armada I've got "First Encounter", but I don't think I'll get any others...

And Clone HIgh I've got all except 11 and 13, and that is pi**ing me off!

Doesn't anyone remember Captain Power? The toys were always in the stores... right over there with all the rest of the Clearance, Reduced Price, and "Please take one" sections.

(Oon was my favorite  (he's a little "almost knight" (I guess a Squire) but he was cool)
