Some other tidbits that were shared today are featured in this OCregister article:

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/disney-657985-parade-park.html

"For "Disneyland Forever," fireworks will play out overhead while scenes are projected onto buildings along Main Street, U.S.A., and in different areas of the park. For example, the Matterhorn will transform into Mt. Wannahockaloogie, from “Finding Nemo.” Inflatable balloons on rooftops will appear like coral reefs, as the story tries to take guests underwater. Later, 100 search lights will light up the sky, and special effects will make it “snow” when “Let it Go” from “Frozen” plays."

There's also this press release posted on Laughing Place, which confirms the updated Harold will be part of a new ride scene:

"Matterhorn Bobsleds will reopen for the Diamond Celebration with new special effects. The Abominable Snowman, more exciting and ferocious, will appear in new and animated ways. A new scene will reveal some lost treasure the Snowman has been hoarding inside the mountain."

I guess if its going to snow that would explain why all the snow machines were never taken down after Christmas.

Also 100 search lights is kind of a lot....

I wasn't sure if the article meant the soapy snow they use at X-Mas or perhaps a snow effect using the new main st. projectors. I can see Elsa "transforming" the main st. buildings :)

I wonder if those search lights will be spread out throughout the park because that does sound like a lot. Speaking of which these are the new lights installed on Screamin during testing last night:

Does anyone else think this is a bad idea? They want people to drink out of an oil can.

Actually, I think those are BRILLIANT and super cool. Much more clever than the cones. I plan on collecting the entire set, and will keep them in my garage on my work bench. And I tend not to purchase any of the Made-In-China plastic crap that Disney belches out as theme park "Merchandise".

So far, those Dinoco oil can drink cups are my favorite new merchandise from the 60th stuff, and it's not even 60th themed.

Thank you for that video! This parade looks awesome. I think it's really going to be a quality addition for the Disneyland Resort, not just for the Diamond Celebration, but for the next 20 years. I wouldn't be surprised to see it cloned for WDW for their 50th Anniversary in 2021. Based on how often WDW management refreshes their MK parades, that might be too aggressive a timetable. Maybe it's safer to say Paint The Night gets cloned for WDW's own Diamond Celebration in 2031?

What are the "T" shaped structures? I was just there last week and I've never noticed them before.

Apparently they are for upcoming tapings of America's Funniest Home Videos this week. They do that type of temporary setup for TV tapings in front of the Castle often, and clad them in that green leafy vinyl fabric to help "hide" them. In real life it looks less obvious than in pictures.

Some of those drinks sound disgusting.

Agreed. They've got this big Media Event to hype the Diamond Celebration at the 30 day mark, and they spend a big chunk of it talking about new non-alcoholic drinks? They sound so sickeningly sweet, full of high-fructose corn syrup and colorings and carbs, that it just sounds... gross.

They spent almost as much time and energy rolling out these gross new sugar-bombs as they did revealing Paint The Night.

And again I ask, who the heck is in charge of this 60th Anniversary marketing message?!? It appears to be an easily-distracted college intern with a sugar addiction.

Has anyone seen MousePlanet's photos of the event on Instagram? There's SO much merchandise that's going to be sold once this thing hits. Some of the items are appealing to me, but then I look at everything that is appealing and I fail to come up with a way to not become completely broke this summer.

Those look like lights on Screamin' to me. Thank you for confirming they are using lights in the updated World of Color. :D
