Off topic, but does anyone know when the holiday entertainment typically goes away? Going the first week of January.
This year we thought we would okay going the first week of January, but all the decorations were still up, but this was at WDW.

EDIT; here is a pic I took at MK. Just 351 days left...

I'm kind of glad to hear this. Maybe I'm kind of old fashioned in this regard but I preferred it when nightly fireworks and evening parades were seasonal.

I disagree only because operational needs have changed so much in the past 5-10 years.

It all strikes me as odd because from labor day to Christmas kick off they're only doing Fantasy in the Sky on the weekends, which means no real nighttime entertainment in DL park.

It's fine for things to be seasonal, but attendance has reached the point where they should be offering a full entertainment slate every weekend regardless of what time of year it is. Entertainment used to be seasonal because you could shoot a cannon down Main Street in the off season without hitting a guest and the expense wasn't justified. Now there is no off season, and the fall season is one of the most packed every year. And pricing factors in here too - for the amount of money they charge to get in the door, seasonal entertainment should be a thing of the past.

Is it possible that there'll be a 60th replacement celebration next year, ie: Year of A Million Dreams, etc?

Not that I know of. I think that every-year-celebration fad has moved on (which is fine).

Wasn't the 60th a "year-long celebration"? Not disagreeing, just wondering if they might have something else planned that will be announced later.

I was referring to the trend where every year after the 50th was a year long celebration. They did the 50th, then YOAMD, then YOAMD II, then the celebrate year, etc. That finally petered out. The 50th did so well that Disney thought, hey we should do this every year even if we have nothing to celebrate! Who could have predicted that wouldn't be sustainable? ;)

I guess Paint the Night really was just for the 60th? I'm surprised, but they already have another parade that runs throughout the day, and despite hating the fact that I'll probably never get to see the dang thing, it does cause an awful lot of headaches when trying to get in and out of the park, so at least it'll help with congestion.

It's not going to WDW is it?

I'm in LA so I checked out Downtown Disney since it's free and I bagged a couple of 60th merch. Speaking of bags I like that they used 60th anniversary bags. No generic Disney Parks bag! Also took the obligatory pic from outside the gate lol lol
I actually miss when the WDW bags didn't contain the generic Disney Parks Bags that been since 2009.
