The 2014 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival starts earlier this year for extended run

We are debating whether to take our trip during Food and Wine this year, how bad do the crowds get for this? Does it effect the crowds at the other parks or just Epcot?

Avoid EPCOT Friday thru Sunday--but most especially Friday evening and Saturday--and you'll be fine, wondering what all the complaints are about.

In contrast, if you let your idiot friends from Tampa coerce you into going on a Saturday, be prepared to park in a lot you never even knew existed.

... and there dies free dining. At least that is my guess. Last year free dining was shortened and this year with a longer fest, it could be that it pushes it right off the calendar.

International Guests (at least from the UK) already have Free Dining for nearly the whole of 2014 (I think it's two weeks in April and the last two in December, or something like that that you can't get it for) - we've had it for end of November/December 2014 since May 2013!

I hope they adopt my "twice the price" dining option I've been suggesting for busy times. I'd like to eat without rubbing elbows with all the riff raff they let into the room.

I always avoid the food and drunk festival like a plaque. I really enjoy and love EPCOT but when this thing is ongoing I can't deal with the drunks falling and stumbling into me constantly. I seem to be a magnet for them to fall into me. I enjoy seeing them coming towards me and watching them fall and I step up and over them. (Not exaggerating with the falling down)

I think in some form it will happen. They might keep 6-10 booths and then add the rest during food and wine.

Not far off right now. Two months of Food & Wine, almost three months of Flower & Garden, two months of Christmas ... all basically reusing the same buildings, with more added for F&W.
