Well the ratings are in, and Seth McFarlane has worked his magic...bumping the Oscar ratings to the highest in the past 3 years.
"Last night, Seth MacFarlane joked that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler be asked to be Oscar hosts next year, but based on the ratings, the Academy might want the Family Guy boss back again!
The 2013 Oscars brought in 40.3 million viewers, up from the 2012 Oscars' (hosted by Billy Crystal) 39.3 million.
The broadcast hasn't broke 40 million viewers since 2010, when Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin pulled double hosting duty."

Also looking forward to those. I'm also excited for monsters university and anchorman 2!
I'm sorta torn on how I feel about Monsters University. Pixar is 50/50 when it comes to sequels (okay, I know M:U will be a prequel, but still...)
The Toy Story sequels were terrific! Cars...eh, not so much. The question is, what direction will the Monsters franchise go? Will it keep up the pace like the Toy Story saga did, or will it be a disaster like Cars 2..? I've been a bit letdown by the last two installments into the Pixar library (Cars 2, Brave). Hopefully Monsters University can pick up the steam & get Pixar back to what the studio is capable of.

Yeah it looks pretty cute. I'm hoping it goes the route of the Toy Story series as far as quality. Keeping fingers crossed.

Speaking of animated films, Stephen Colbert even said Wreck It Ralph got robbed at the Oscars on Sunday. And as we all know, Mr. Colbert is a voice for a generation. Brave needs to do the right, responsible thing and give the award to Ralph...the true deserving winner for best animated feature.

I agree.

Though in reality, I think the video game theme made Ralph far to geeky for the Academy.

Gangster squad is the best film I have seen so far this year and I would pick Ryan Gosling for a best supporting nomination.

If jOBS can live up to the hype I could see it in best pictures and Ashton kutcher will most likely snatch a best actor nomination.

Seth MacFarlane said that he will not do the Oscars next year even if they asked him. He said it was too much on top of running his TV shows and all the other stuff he had to do.
