That's Crazy!

What is something you've done to prepare for your Disney vacation that other people think is over the top insane?

I shrank down, color coded by park, and laminated a list of all of the snacks that qualify for the dining plan then put it on a book ring.

maybe if that color coded ring binder of snacks was created as a note or document saved to a smart phone instead, it wouldn't seem over the top and would still be accessible from the parks. The information would be great to have, but who wants to carry around the binder in the parks?

My hubby thinks that everything I do to prepare for our Disney trips is crazy, but he sure appreciates reaping the benefits of all my planning once we're there! I did something similar with the list of snacks by Park on our last trip, and when we got to AK, I told him about the jalapeno pretzels because I knew it would be right up his alley. He bought one and was so grateful I had mentioned it to him.

Most hubbies in the end are grateful for the planning I think.:)
But, I'm right there w/ you on the "hubby" thing!

I make a spreadsheet and coordinate it all. If it's during the school year and I have a school-age child with me, I adapt some files I have on Disney to be his/her academic part of the trip. Then I put it in a notebook and decorate it for the child. I also wash pre-1982 pennies in vinegar and then rub baking soda on them before rinsing...and place them in a candy tube with 2 quarters (2 quarters and 1 shiny penny...keep the pattern and stack 'em) for penny presses. Since having DGSs, I make a special treat bag for each day and my DH sneaks over to their room (if they're not staying in a Villa w/us) and puts it on their door...a morning surprise.

The color coded book ring of snacking heaven is actually printed 4 to a page so the actual size is only 4 1/4"x5 1/2".(Or 1/4 of a standard sheet of paper) So it easily fits in my purse.:)
